Jeffrey McQuillan: J♦7♦
Kevin Cronin: K♦K♠
Cronin had woken up with kings, and the 9♣2♣10♥A♥3♠ board offered no help to McQuillan as he was sent to the rail.
"My name is Kevin. I will destroy you all. I cannot be stopped," tablemate Tom Magee, doing his best Terminator impression, said.
At the same table, reigning Eastern Poker Tour champion Rick Ziegler has built up a stack of around 550,000.
In a blind versus blind battle, Brian Ng bet 20,000 on a flop of K♣4♥5♠ and Kevin Cronin called.
Both players checked the Q♠ turn. Cronin then led out for 43,000 on the 6♣ river, and Ng quickly called. Cronin then showed Q♦5♦ for two pair, and Ng slammed his chips on the table in frustration before mucking.
Steven Tabb and Mike LaMontagne went to the turn on a board of A♠10♥8♠Q♥ when Tabb bet 100,000 from the button. LaMontagne then raised to 200,000 in the big blind, and Tabb moved all in.
LaMontagne let out a deep sigh as he quickly called for his last 500,000. "King-jack?" he asked Tabb, and Tabb indeed showed K♥J♣.
"How do you have king-jack?" LaMontagne added as he turned over J♦9♠ for a smaller straight. The river was the Q♠ and LaMontagne was sent to the rail, while Tabb raked in the massive pot to take over the chip lead.
Brian Ng raised to 25,000 under the gun, Tom Magee moved all in for 120,000 in early position, and Ng called.
Tom Magee: K♣Q♦
Brian Ng: A♦K♦
Magee was dominated and at risk as the flop came 10♠8♠7♣, but Magee hit the Q♣ on the turn to take the lead. The river was the 8♣ and Magee doubled up.

Lily Lotfy: Q♦Q♣
Kevin Cronin: A♠K♣

Patrick Lohnes bet 25,000 from the hijack on a flop of A♦9♣3♥, Vaughn Steeves moved all in for 75,000 in the big blind, and Lohnes called.
Vaughn Steeves: 9♦5♦
Patrick Lohnes: K♠9♠
Both players had a pair of nines, but Lohnes was ahead with his king-kicker and poised for the knockout. The turn was the 4♠, but Steeves spiked the 5♠ on the river to make two pair and earn a double up.
