Zimmerman Picks Up Aces to Double
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Diane Zimmerman moved all in for 56,500 from middle position and Charles Furey put her at risk in the hijack.
Diane Zimmerman: A♠A♥
Charles Furey: 5♥5♣
Zimmerman had Furey dominated with her aces, and the 7♦3♦2♠K♠10♦ board kept her in the lead to secure her double up.
At the same time at the other table, players had already started leaving for break as Marcia Kuntz moved all in for 72,000 from under the gun on a board of 7♦J♣Q♣10♦5♦. Ari Katz tanked for a minute before calling in the big blind with Q♦J♦ for two pair, but Kuntz had A♥K♦ for a straight to win the pot and double up.
