Mahler Spikes a King to Stun Lanning
Level 7
: Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Brian Mahler raised to 2,000 under the gun and Matthew Raudebaugh called in the hijack. Joel Lanning then three-bet to 10,000 on the button, and Mahler moved all in. "I wanted to gamble with this hand so bad," Raudebaugh said as he folded.
"Give him his cards back," Lanning said as he snap-called for his last 40,000.
Joel Lanning: A♣A♠.
Brian Mahler: K♠K♥
Lanning had good reason to be optimistic as he turned over two aces. The flop came 6♦2♠7♦, but Mahler spiked the K♦ on the turn to make a set. The river was the 9♦, and Lanning was sent to the rail.
"That's good content, right there," Raudebaugh added.
