Birmingham's Roller Coaster Takes a Steep Dive in Cooler Against Palermino
Level 12
: Blinds 1,500/2,500, 2,500 ante
Ronald Birmingham and John Palermino went to the turn on a board of K♣7♥10♥J♥ with around 50,000 in the pot when Palermino got in his last 120,000 from the small blind. Birmingham put him at risk in the big blind.
Birmingham showed A♦Q♣ for a straight, but Palermino had turned a flush holding K♥8♥. The river was the 8♣, and Birmingham had to get up from his seat and walk around while the massive pot was pushed over to Palermino.
