Comisso Picks Off Pelton

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Chan Pelton bet 111,000 from the small blind on a board of {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, and Mike Comisso called.

"What do you need?" Pelton asked him.

Comisso stayed silent, and the river was a {2-Diamonds}. Pelton fired 405,000, and Comisso wasted no time calling. He showed down {q-Spades}{10-Spades} and took it with top two.

Morton Jams

Level 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Chan Pelton raised to 40,000 under the gun and got action from Mike Comisso on his left and big blind David Morton. The flop of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} prompted Morton to shove all in for about 250,000, and Pelton thought briefly and mucked. Comisso immediately followed him.

Welcome to Day 3 of Poker Night in America at Golden Nugget

Poker Night in America
Poker Night in America

The past four days have seen 136 runners at Poker Night in America at Golden Nugget whittled down to just five. They are Mike Comisso (1,263,000), Vinicius Lima (1,198,000), Chan Pelton (1,050,000), David Morton (292,000), and Dimitry Agrachov (282,000), and today will see one of them claim the tournament and $56,366 in prize money.

Out of the long grind of this tournament, Day 3 presents the most interesting scenario for the players. Unlike the other days, in which standard tournament poker was being played, Day 3 is all about the televised final table. That means a shot clock in PNIA events, and it will be a 60-second clock on every decision. Each player will receive a pair of time extensions as well, which can be used at any point in the final table, including on the same hand.

Players are currently fulfilling TV media obligations, and cards are scheduled to fly some time between 12:45 p.m and 1 p.m. local time here in downtown Las Vegas.
