Billard Won't be Bullied

Level 11 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

There were five players that saw the {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop for 60,000 each. A player in early position fired out a bet of 130,000 and was called by the cutoff and Francois Billard on the button.

The {a-Clubs} hit the turn and the player in early position bet another 250,000. Both the cutoff and Billard continued to call and the {k-Spades} completed the board. The player in early position shoved all in for 1.0 million and the cutoff folded. Billard pushed his long hair from his eyes and tried to get a read on his opponent.

After a couple of minutes, the clock was called and Billard was forced to act within 60 seconds. He eventually tossed in a chip to call and his opponent knocked the table. He showed {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Billard turned over {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to eliminate his opponent and close in on 5,000,000 chips.

Summers Over

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

We join the action in a hand between Vojtech Skalak, Terry Schumacher, and Alan Summers, looking at a board of {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Spades} with around 175,000 in the middle.

Skalak checked it over to Schumacher, who put out a bet of 75,000 from the cutoff before being promptly raised to 200,000 by Alan Summers on the button. Skalak folded, and Schumacher called as the dealer burned and turned the {3-Diamonds}.

Schumacher checked, with Summers continuing for another 200,000. After a short pause, Schumacher shoved the rest in for a total of 615,000, which Summers very quickly called. Summers' {j-Spades}{7-Hearts} was in good shape to knock out Schumacher, whose {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} needed some help. Said help arrived as the {10-Hearts} landed on the river awarding Schumacher the pot.

Hunichen Calls Three Streets

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Chris Hunichen found himself involved in a pot with both of the blinds and 400,000 in the middle preflop. When the flop came {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, the small blind checked, the big blind bet 160,000, and Hunichen called from early position. The small blind folded and the {2-Spades} landed on the turn.

The big blind fired another 285,000 and Hunichen called again. The river was the {2-Diamonds}, pairing the board and putting three diamonds out there. Hunichen was faced with another bet of 275,000 and he tossed in the chips to call. His opponent turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts} but Hunichen held {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for the same two pair but a better kicker.

Ramos Making Use of His Second Bullet

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante
Felipe Ramos
Felipe Ramos

Felipe Ramos was one of those players forced to re-enter early in the day but he has started to make use of his second bullet. The action was folded around to the small blind who raised to 52,000. "Let's see a flop," Ramos said as he tossed in chips to call.

The flop came {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{5-Clubs} and the small blind continued for 50,000. Ramos quickly called and the {9-Diamonds} peeled off on the turn. The small blind fired another 75,000 and Ramos still called. The river brought the {3-Spades} and both players checked. The small blind turned over {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} but Ramos tabled {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} to earn himself the pot.

Sevilla Scoops One Up

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Justin Sevilla opened with a raise to 55,000 UTG+1, with Endre Sagstuen called on the button, before Lucas Blanco put in the 3-bet to 200,000 from the small blind. Sevilla and Sagstuen both called and they took an {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop three ways.

Blanco checked, with Sevilla opting to take control of the pot, betting out 155,000. Sagstuen quickly moved out of the way, with Blanco calling as they went heads up to the {j-Spades} turn. Action was checked over to Sevilla for a second time, where he deliberately put together 325,000 chips and moved them over the line.

All Blanco could do was raise his eyebrows. He didn't move a muscle for almost a minute, before reaching for his cards. He reluctantly folded his cards, as Sevilla dragged in the pot.

Saxby Is Sick

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Kelly Saxby opened with a raise under the gun to 50,000, with action folding all the way round to Thomas Boivin in the big blind. He made the call as the two players took a {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop heads-up.

Boivin checked over to Saxby, who put out a continuation bet of 65,000, and was quickly called. On the {q-Diamonds} turn, Boivin took control, leading into Saxby for 185,000, before Saxby fired back with a raise to 460,000. After some thought, Boivin shoved all-in for Saxby's 1,500,000 remaining stack. Saxby snap-called and the cards were on their backs.

Both players turned a flush, with Saxby's {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} leaving Boivin's {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} drawing to just one out. Unfortunately for Saxby, one out was plenty, and Boivin hit the {8-Diamonds} for the straight flush, knocking Saxby out.
