Battle of the Blinds Goes to Cheong

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

The action folded around to Marc-Andre Ladouceur in the small blind who just limped in. Joseph Cheong checked his option from the big blind and the flop came {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds}. Ladouceur led out for 400,000 and Cheong called.

The {j-Spades} peeled off on the turn and Ladouceur fired another 900,000. Cheong called again and the {5-Diamonds} completed the board. Ladouceur checked this time and Cheong bet 2.2 million. Ladouceur thought for a moment but elected to fold, sending the pot to Cheong.

Maduka Can't Be Stopped

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

On a {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board, Maduka Meragal put out a bet and was quickly shoved on by his opponent. It didn't take long for Meragal to respond with a call, and the cards were on their backs.

Meragal had flopped top pair with {a-Spades}{q-Spades} and needed to fade a diamond versus his opponent's {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The {5-Hearts} turn and {a-Hearts} river were both red, but neither were a diamond, and Meragal dragged in another big pot.

The Ladies Send Godwin a Massive Stack

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Charlie Godwin
Charlie Godwin

Charlie Godwin and Luigi Knoppers got all of the chips in the middle preflop with Godwin being the player at risk for 19.65 million. Godwin held {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and was up against the {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Knoppers in a classic race scenario.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Godwin was still out front with her pair of queens. The turn brought the {q-Spades} giving Godwin a set of queens, and Knoppers was drawing dead to the {2-Diamonds} on the river. Godwin scored a massive double up to sit on a healthy chip stack in the last level of the night.

Davies Runs Into Quads

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

With around 2.7 million in the pot and the board reading {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Spades}, Francois Billard checked from the cutoff. Seth Davies was on the button and bet 2.25 million. Billard called and the {8-Clubs} fell on the river.

Billard checked again and Davies pushed all in for around 6.5 million. Billard snapped him off and showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for quad threes. Davies tabled his {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and headed for the payout desk to collect his money.

Stokkan Rivers a Flush to Double Up

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Preben Stokkan
Preben Stokkan

Gilbert Diaz in the small blind and Preben Stokkan in the big blind got all of their chips in the middle preflop and it was another race situation. Diaz turned over {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Stokken held {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

The board ran out {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Stokkan made a king-high flush by the river and that was good enough to earn him the double up. When the chips were all counted, Stokkan was all in for 23.875 million, leaving Diaz with just over 10.0 million.

Godwin Continues To Crush

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Facing a raise to 900,000 from the player under the gun, Charlie Godwin put in a 3-bet to 2,400,000, with her opponent making the call.

The dealer spread a {3-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop, on which Godwin continued with a bet of 3,600,00. Her opponent thought long and hard, but eventually conceded the pot as she builds her stack up to almost double-average.

Last Five Hands

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

The clock has been stopped and the {5-Spades} has been drawn, which means players have five hands left until the end of the day.

Perceval Flops a Flush to Dent Koon's Stack

Level 22 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Bartolomiej Machon pushed all in for 3.85 million in early position and Ruben Perceval shipped all in from the cutoff for 10.875 million. Jason Koon was in the big blind and made the call.

Ruben Perceval: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Jason Koon: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Bartlomiej Machon: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The flop came {10-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} giving Perceval a flush and leaving his opponents drawing nearly dead. The turn was the {4-Clubs} putting a lock on the hand and the insignificant {7-Spades} completed the board. Machon was eliminated, while Perceval put a small dent in Koon's stack to end the night.
