Welcome to Day 3 of the partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship at King’s Casino in Rozvadov where the surviving 100 players are set for another day of thrilling poker.
Sonay Kehya begins the day as chip leader with 14,530,000 while Philipp Gruissem sits second on 12,450,000 and Friedrich Raz third with 11,200,000.
Two partypoker sponsored pros are still in contention in Anatoly Filatov (10,600,000) and Natalia Breviglieri (6,655,000).
Also in the field are two partypoker “Click & Collect” qualifiers in Enrique (4,375,000) and Alexander Burkart (2,960,000). They have arrived in Rozvadov at the GPC courtesy of a free ticket to a satellite in their partypoker accounts.
Having successfully navigated their way to a free seat here at King’s Casino they are both on course to cash a slice of the €1,000,000 guarantee in an amazing free roll. Not only that, if they manage to make the final table they will also win a $10,000 Caribbean Poker Package.

The money bubble burst at the very end of play last night so the remaining players now have their eyes on the pay jumps first of all with the goal of bagging up at the end of play today to make a run at the first place prize of €200,000 and the prestigious title of 2017 partypoker German Poker Champion and a beautiful trophy.

Michal Marian Skalski raised to 250,000 and was called by Matthias De Meulder on the button and the big blind. The flop fell and the big blind checked, then folded to the subsequent action. Skalski continued for 275,000 and De Meulder called before the Polish player also bet the turn for 335,000, De Meulder called.
After the river, Skalski checked and De Meulder bet 950,000, which saw Skalski quickly toss in a chip for the call. De Meulder showed for two pair and a busted flush draw, while Skalski had that beat with for the straight.

The first two casualties on Day 3 were Gert-Jan Kars and Wladimir Gerner. Both were short-stacked coming into the day and Gerner three-bet all in with out of the big blind. Marc Döring quickly called with and the board came to send Gerner to the rail.

As expected the eliminations come at a quick pace right after the restart and the first table just broke. Among those to settle for a min-cash of €2,000 was also former WSOP November Niner Vojtech Ruzicka. He got it in against fellow Czech Vojtěch Kratochvíl with versus and a king on the board spelled the end for Ruzicka.
