Welcome to Day 3 of the partypoker LIVE German Poker Championship at King’s Casino in Rozvadov where the surviving 100 players are set for another day of thrilling poker.

Sonay Kehya begins the day as chip leader with 14,530,000 while Philipp Gruissem sits second on 12,450,000 and Friedrich Raz third with 11,200,000.

Two partypoker sponsored pros are still in contention in Anatoly Filatov (10,600,000) and Natalia Breviglieri (6,655,000).

Also in the field are two partypoker “Click & Collect” qualifiers in Enrique (4,375,000) and Alexander Burkart (2,960,000). They have arrived in Rozvadov at the GPC courtesy of a free ticket to a satellite in their partypoker accounts.

Having successfully navigated their way to a free seat here at King’s Casino they are both on course to cash a slice of the €1,000,000 guarantee in an amazing free roll. Not only that, if they manage to make the final table they will also win a $10,000 Caribbean Poker Package.

The money bubble burst at the very end of play last night so the remaining players now have their eyes on the pay jumps first of all with the goal of bagging up at the end of play today to make a run at the first place prize of €200,000 and the prestigious title of 2017 partypoker German Poker Champion and a beautiful trophy.

Once more play is schedule to last eight one-hour levels on this penultimate day of the Main Event and the Pokernews live reporting team will bring you all the action including reports from the final day of the Super High Roller.

Down to just 1,190,000, Ducardo Ueberfeldt moved all in and Alamzad Sina on the button asked for a count, then called.

Ducardo Ueberfeldt: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Alamzad Sina: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

The board came {7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{9-Spades} and Ueberfelft was eliminated. Right after the hand, Hossein Ensan walked over to talk with Sina about his exit.

Ensan had three-bet shoved with {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} into a 550,000-raise by Simon Trumper, who called with {J-}{9-} and spiked a jack.

De Meulder Doubles and Busts Wahlers

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Matthias De Meulder
Matthias De Meulder

A short-stacked Fabian Wahlers was all in for 1,500,000 and Marko Simic called in the cutoff. Out of the small blind, Matthias De Meulder reshoved and the action was back on Simic, who immediately sighed. "How much?" he asked and De Meulder's stack was counted to be for 3,875,000 in total. Simic eventually called to put two players at risk.

Fabian Wahlers: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Matthias De Meulder: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Marko Simic: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The flop of {J-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts} improved Wahlers, while Simic said "it's okay," the bigger side pot was still in his favor. De Meulder asked for an ace once the {7-Spades} appeared on the turn and Wahlers requested a queen. One wish was granted, as the {A-Diamonds} river improved De Meulder to the best hand and eliminate Wahlers. "Every tournament," Simic sighed even more, having forfeited almost half of his stack.

Alexander Burkart Eliminated, Click & Collects €3,000

Level 18 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Alexander Burkart
Alexander Burkart

Alexander Burkart opened for 325,000 from under the gun and picked up a call from Philipp Zukernik and the player in the big blind.

The flop was {q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} and checked to the raiser, Burkart continued for 375,000 and got two callers.

The turn was the {2-Spades} and the rest of Burkart’s chips went in the middle. Zukernik called and the big blind folded.

Zukernik quickly turned over his {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} and it was left to Burkart to nod his acknowledgement of the cooler as he showed his {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}.

The {5-Clubs} river card rounded off the board and Burkart’s tournament.

Burkart had won his seat at the partypoker German Poker Championships thanks to a free “Click & Collect” ticket on his online account and he was walking away €3,000 richer and with a bag full of memories.

“Trapping, trapping, trapping,” the player in the big blind said of Zukernik’s play.

Rinaldo Aquino: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

Both players shook hands and the board came {J-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{A-Spades}{7-Hearts} to leave drawing dead. He left the table with a smile and "It was a pleasure."

Other recent casualties include Gregor Kampmann, Levent Efe and Henning W.. The latter three-bet all in for 3.3 million out of the big blind with pocket tens and initial raiser Lukasz Golczyk snap-called with kings. A ten on the flop was followed by a king on the turn and that was it for the Austrian.

The board of {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} left Harrouchy empty-handed and he headed to the rail.

He was followed by the last partypoker Click & Collect qualifier Andreas Aulike, who called all in for his last few chips in the big blind. Ngoc Minh Hoang and Alamzad Sina checked down the board until an ace on the river appeared. Sina bet and Hoang called with ace-jack for top pair, while Sina only had pocket fours.
