Blaschke Beats Holz

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Manuel Blaschke
Manuel Blaschke

Fedor Holz raised to 5,200 from the under-the-gun position and action folded to Manuel Blaschke on the button. Blaschke called, Gerald Brandlmayer, in the small blind folded. Boris Becker, in the blind, also called.

The flop came {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{J-Hearts}, both Becker and Holz check-called the 10,400 bet of Blaschke.

The turn brought them the {5-Diamonds}, Becker check-folded on the 13,700 bet of Holz. Blaschke however called.

The {5-Hearts} on the river completed the board, now Holz checked first. Blaschke bet 28,000. Holz took his time, looked at his cards, and took more time. At one point there was even a little while he was considering his options. He took 28,000 from his stack and played with it a bit. Eventually, he decided to make the call.

Blaschke showed {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and fives. Holz mucked and the pot was taken by Blaschke.

Marjanovic Doubles Up Against Frank

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Adem Marjanovic
Adem Marjanovic

The board read {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} and Adem Marjanovic had opened to 8,000 from the small blind. Christopher Frank, in the under-the-gun position, raised to 36,000. Marjanovic took some time to think but then decided to shove all-in for the remainder of his chips. He was at risk as Frank had him covered. Frank asked what he said.

"All-in" the dealer explained. Frank snap-called.

Adem Marjanovic: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Christopher Frank: {A-}{Q-}

Marjanovic had a set of sevens which was better than the pair of aces that Frank had and he doubled up. The dealer counted out the rest of Marjanovic' stack which was 107,000 and Frank counted it out so it could be added to his opponent's stack.

Weis Wips Frank Out

Level 7 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Oliver Weis
Oliver Weis

Christopher Frank put his coat on as we approached the table. He was knocked out of the tournament by Oliver Weis. Weis told us what happened:

"It wasn't really an interesting hand. I was in the small blind and had completed. Christopher (in the big blind) raised to 3 times the big blind (12,000). I re-raised shoved all-in and Christopher called. I had {A-}{K-} and he had {K-}{Q-}. The board was all small cards so yeah..."
