Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Tom Wallsgrove on his way to the second of two painful bust-outs.

Tom Wallsgrove busted both his Day 2 stack and then a late registered Day 1 stack in unfortunate circumstances to say the least.

First, Tom opened with pocket aces on Day 2 of the Grand Prix UK Main Event here in Nottingham. He was three-bet by Ali Ayub and so four-bet to 100,000 with 350,000 behind. His opponent called and Wallsgrove went to the flop of {Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. All the money went into the middle, with Wallsgrove's opponent holding {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. the runner-runner clubs on turn and river set Wallsgrove to the registration desk.

Once he was sat in Day 1's 12noon flight (there are two more at 5pm and 9pm local time) , Wallsgrove ran a little short early on and three-bet all-in for 18,600 with {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Amazingly, he was called in three spots and up against {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}, {A-Spades}{7-Spades} and {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. Those pocket tens couldn't quite believe the equity they had in the hand, and held to eliminate the other three players, Wallsgrove amongst them.

"I'll hopefully play the online Day 2 tomorrow night. I think it'll finish around 2am and then it'll be possible to make it here for 12 for Day 3. that's the plan!"
