On a board reading , Peter Weinand led out for 90,000 into a pot of around 200,000. The action was on Jonathan Duhamel, WSOP 2010 Main Event Winner, and he took his time before moving his entire stack of 695,000 into the middle. Weinand made the call and Duhamel was in the lead but his opponent had some outs.

Francois Billard got a much needed double up as he held vs his opponents . They got all the chips in the middle preflop and Billard held on as the board ran out . Billard now sits with a quality stack size and will look to build on that as we head into Day 2.
Players are off on a 15-minute break, which will be the last break of the day. When they return, there will be two more levels left of play before the remaining players bag their chips to return on Day 2.
Christian Harder has been cruising along throughout the day with an average sized stack and not making too much noise. However, he found himself in a pretty good situation when the board read . Harder was heads-up at this point with about 300,000 in the pot. He bet 275,000, only to be check-raised by his opponent to 1,000,000. Harder thought for a moment and then raised all in for 2,100,000. His opponent shook his head, but still made the call with a bad feeling he was behind. Harder showed him the bad news tabling for top set vs his opponents bottom set .
The river was the and Harder doubled up to around 5,000,000 amongst the leaders.
Sylvain Siebert came into the day as the chip leader as a result of the Phase 1 Qualifier. He has also been on the table that has provided the most action throughout the day, therefore the table with the most chips on it as well. Recently Siebert got into a battle with Francis Lavallee. Lavallee raised out of middle position to 70,000 and Siebert reraised to 225,000; Lavallee called.
The flop came and Lavallee checked to Siebert who bet 250,000. Lavallee made the call again.
The turn was the and Lavallee once again checked to Siebert who this time threw out a bet of 475,000. Lavallee discarded his hand into the muck and the pot was shipped to Siebert.
With these two big stacks, along with Dilovan Hussein on the table, the action should continue through the next level of play to close out the night.
The last level of the night has begun, and players are looking to find the bottom of a bag to move on to Day 2 on Sunday, May 7th at noon!
As usual, play will pause within the last 8 to 12 minutes of the level and the tournament director will draw cards to determine how many hands are left.

Griffin Benger has been slowly chipping up since the start of the day and has found himself feeling pretty comfortable at his table. With Julian Milliard-Feral, the big stack on the table, directly to his right, Benger has been his usual aggressive self applying pressure to everyone at his table. This time however, Milliard-Feral pushed back.
Milliard-Feral opened to 90,000 preflop and Benger raised to 225,000. Milliard-Feral called and the two players went heads up to the flop which brought . Milliard-Feral check-called a bet of 205,000. The dealer turned the slowing down the action as it was checked around. When the hit the river, Milliard-Feral led out for 320,000, prompting a fold from Benger.
