The £10,000 Guaranteed side event for Ladies is under way, with players such as partypoker ambassador Natalia Breviglieri, Charlie Godwin, Eleanor Gudger, Vanessa Haney, Rachel Heneghan, Kelly Saxby, Kelly Peters, Joella Esposito, Sarah Brown, Karen Arthur, Jacqueline Cook, Raine Hilson Sung Hee Yun and Hannah Swales taking part.
The latter pair were involved in a big pot when, with a pot of 36,000 already in the middle, it was Swales who had moved all-in for 24,000 with the board showing . Swales got a fold from Sung Hee Yun and stacked up over 61,000 with the average at 45,000.
In the first hand after the break, Jacob Mulhern completed from the small blind with and made the call when Maria Lampropulos in the big blind made it 20M to go with .
The players checked through the flop before Mulhern fired 23M on the turn. Lampropulos called but gave it up to Mulhern's bet of 34M on the river.
Mulhern has now passed the 400 million mark and overtaken the chip lead.
Jacob Mulhern raised to 16M with the and Maria Lampropulos called with the on the button, Mateusz Rypulak defended the big blind with . On the flop, the action checked to Lampropulos and her bet was for 26M.
Rypulak gave it some consideration and then check-raised all in for 124M with second pair. Mulhern folded and Lampropulos asked for the count before making the call.
"Come on Jacob," the rail said, knowing that Rypulak was the only player that stood between Mulhern and an extra payday of £100,000 for their favorite.
The on the turn left Rypulak drawing dead, making the river a formality. Rypulak had to settle for a payday of £320,000 while the final trio has £450,000 guaranteed.
Katie Swift ran so deep in the £6 million guaranteed partypoker MILLIONS Main Event that she would have hoped to repeat her success straight away. It hasn't worked out like that, however.
The pot that did the damage was one that we joined with Swift opening pre-flop to 2,000. Swift got a single caller in Deborah Rawson and the two ladies went heads-up to a flop.
The flop came and Swift continued for 1,500, getting call. On the turn , Swift bet 6,100 and again got a call. The river saw Rawson lead out for 6,300 and that would be almost all of Swift's 6,800 stack at that point, so the Kent-based cafe owner folded. Soon after, she lost her remaining eight big blinds to bust.
The very next hand after the knock-out, Maria Lampropoulou was at it again. She raised from first position to 17M with , and Jeremy Pantin right behind her came in for a three-bet. Pantin settled on 45M with , and Lampropoulou called.
The flop didn't seem to hit either player as it was checked through, so when the board paired on the turn, Pantin took a stab at it with a bet of 40M. That won him the pot as Lampropoulou's unknown hand quickly hit the muck.
Jacob Mulhern made it 16M from the button with and Jeremy Pantin called out of the big blind with . After the flop it didn't look like much would come of it, but with both players checking and the rolling off on the turn, the action heated up.
Pantin led out for 15M with his second pair and Mulhern made it another 30M on top with his flush draw and gutshot straight draw. The river was the perfect card for Mulhern. The Brit slid out a stack of chips worth 115M and Pantin called right away with the two pair. They were no match for the nut straight, however, and Mulhern dragged the gigantic pot while leaving Pantin on the short stack.
Maria Lampropoulou raised the button to 17M with the and claimed the blinds and antes.
Jeremy Pantin then raised to 17M with the and Maria Lampropoulou three-bet to 43M with the out of the big blind. Pantin called and saw the flop come and Lampropoulou continued for 35M and Pantin gave up by flicking his cards into the muck.
Jeremy Pantin folded the button and Mulhern limped in with the . Lampropoulou checked her option with . Mulhern bet 9M on the flop and the Argentinian called with the overcard and straight draw.
Mulhern slowed down on the turn, and that prompted a bet of 12M from Lampropoulou. Mulhern called and quickly checked the river, making Lampropoulou contemplate the river bluff for quite some time. Ultimately she checked it back and surrendered the pot. Mulhern made a discrete fist pump before stacking his newly won chips.
