Da Silva Busted

Chris Da Silva was eliminated from Day 1e here at Dusk Till Dawn just as it looked like he might be one to watch. Having worked his way around 400,000 above average chips, he lost a massive all-in pre-flop when his pocket kings were crushed by pocket aces.

Da Silva's elimination came a short time later when he was unable after getting his chips into the middle pre-flop again. This time he had {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} but when his opponent called him with {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}, two aces on the flop and no help thereafter ended Da Silva's tournament.

What a Way to Go

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

It's evident. Filippo Lazzaretto will not be the partypokerLIVE Millions Main Event winner this time around. Lazzaretto had qualified online for today's heat but failed to show up at his seat. His last ante was just now devoured by his tablemates.

Another player that - despite a stack of 119,000 - will probably not lift the trophy in five days time, is Domingo Javier. His empty chip bag is still on his chair, but his starting stack of 616,700 has slowly dwindled as he too seems to have failed to make it to Nottingham. With two levels still to go, it's a safe bet he neither will be making it through to tomorrow's Day 2.

Second to Last Break of the Day

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

296 players still remain on this day 1E of the partypokerLIVE Millions Dusk Till Dawn Main Event. With seven levels completed, they are awarded their second to last 20-minute break of the day.

Egan Bests Bonadies

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Lee Egan raised to 51,000 and John Bonadies three-bet to 155,000 from two seats over, which Egan called. On the {Q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, Egan checked and Bonadies continued for 130,000, which Egan called. The Irishman then led the {9-Diamonds} turn for 190,000 and was called before firing the {4-Diamonds} river for 350,000.

Bonadies reluctantly called and Egan turned over {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a turned straight and rivered flush.

You Can't Win 'Em All

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Steve O'Dwyer has been on a tear today, and has had a stack worthy of a chipleader for most of the day. He did just let one go, however, which resulted in a double up for tablemate Michiel Broskij.

With 200,000 in the middle O'Dwyer bet 125,000 on a {2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop. Oliver Lucas Blanco called on the button, and called again when Broskij put his 552,500 at risk from the small blind.

Broskij: {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Blanco: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

As Blanco saw the set of his opponent he jokingly reached for the chips he already committed to the pot, but he would get none of them back as the board was completed with the {J-Diamonds} on the turn and the {A-Clubs} on the river.

Parkinson and Cummins Eliminated

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante
Padraig Parkinson
Padraig Parkinson

Within quick succession, Padraig Parkinson and Keith Cummins ran out of chips on separate tables and both Irishman were eliminated.

Parkinson raised the button for 55,000 and Gerald Karlic defended the big blind. Karlic check-called a bet worth 80,000 on the {K-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop before then checking the {10-Diamonds} turn. Parkinson moved in for around 600,000 and Karlic snap-called.

Padraig Parkinson: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Gerald Karlic: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

Parkinson was already drawing dead, making the {3-Diamonds} on the river a formality.

As for Cummins, he got it in for the last 375,000 with {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and failed to get there against the {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} of Sohnke Jahn. The board came {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{J-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the over card and flush draw would see no further improvement.

Metaal Takes Another One

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Michael Fletcher made it 55,000 to go from early position, Govert Metaal called right after him before Daniel Rudd made it 175,000 from the cutoff. Only Metaal called, and the players saw a {8-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} flop together.

Metaal checked his option, Rudd quickly bet 225,000 and Metaal called after a short deliberation. Both players checked through the {10-Diamonds} turn, before Metaal fired a hefty bet of 875,000 on the river. Ruud wasted no time folding, and Metaal chipped up.

The Tale of Two Spaniards

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

After a raise by Philip Hepburn, Adrian Mateos shoved for his last 260,000 with {4-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and initial raiser Hepburn called with the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The board came {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades} and that was it for Mateos.

One table over, fellow Spaniard Carlos Sanchez Diaz opened to 50,000 from under the gun and Tobias Reinkemeier called in the cutoff. The flop of {A-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds} saw both players invest 35,000 before the {4-Clubs} was checked. On the {J-Spades} river, Diaz bet 75,000 and Reinkemeier raised to 225,000 in order to claim the pot uncontested.
