Warburton Wins a Big Flip

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

In a previous hand, Brett Schuman apparently three-bet all in for more than 2m after a raise and two callers, according to Orpen Kisacikoglu, and showed the {K-Diamonds}.

Just now, Steven Warburton opened to 54,000 and picked up a caller in the cutoff. Schuman moved all in again for massive 2.5m from the small blind and Warburton took a long time before announcing all in himself with a very similar stack. The cutoff joked that he had some equity to call, but shook his head and folded.

Brett Schuman: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Steven Warburton: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts} showed up right in the window, and the rest of the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The stacks were counted and Warburton had just over 2.6m to win a huge flip and eliminate Schuman.

The Last Two Levels of the Night

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

According to the screens, some 250 players out of a 479-entry strong field remain and they play the penultimate level of the night before taking a short break, play one more level and bag and tag. All those that fail to claim chips for Day 2 can still enter the competition again during the first two levels and subsequent break tomorrow, and the single re-entry rule applies there as well.

Anton Morgenstern Gets to One Million Chips the Expensive Way

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

German Anton Morgenstern got his last chips in with {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} only to be looked up by {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. The {K-}{J-}{4-} flop didn't help his cause, neither did the {10-} turn nor {J-} river.

Ultimately Morgenstern did gain some chips on the all-in, exactly one million as a matter of fact. He got them in the cashier, and they cost him £5,300.

235 players are still going at it here at Dusk Till Dawn Nottingham.

Lightbourne is Shining Again

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante
Iaron Lightbourne
Iaron Lightbourne

A massive pot of more than 1.7m was brewing between Iaron Lightbourne in the cutoff and Philip Hepburn in the big blind, the board was showing {9-Spades}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. Hepburn checked and Lightbourne moved all in, his stack was counted and the shove was for 1,509,500.

Hepburn ultimately called and then sighed when he spotted the cards of his opponent.

Iaron Lightbourne: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}
Philip Hepburn: {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The {J-Spades} on the river was a brick and Hepburn lost a big chunk of his stack. Two years ago, Lightbourne won the £2,200 WPT Nottingham Main Event here in the Dusk Till Dawn for a career-best score of £200,000 and the Brit is looking for an even bigger payday in this week.

Perfect Timing for Ruiter

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

Christoffer Stahle raised to 65,000 from under the gun and Michal Danka called, as did Sohnke Jahn on the button. Bryan Ruiter then moved all in for 357,000 out of the big blind and Stahle called, Danka and Jahn folded.

Bryan Ruiter: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}
Christoffer Stahle: {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

The board came {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades} and Ruiter more than doubled.

Delgado Doubles Through Bennani Smires

Level 25 : 8,000/16,000, 1,500 ante

After a raise by the player in under the gun, Vicente Deldago called on the button and Fahd Bennani Smires defended the big blind. On the {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, the action checked to Delgado and he bet 75,000, which Bennani Smires then check-raised to 225,000. The player under the gun folded and Delgado called.

The {Q-Hearts} turn was checked and Bennani Smires then shoved the {4-Clubs} river. It was a bad timing for the Moroccan to bluff with {10-}{8-}, as Delgado had flopped a set and rivered a full house with {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} to double up.
