Playground Poker Club regular Gary Lucci just busted when he shoved {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} into {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} pre-flop. The board ran out {a-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Lucci could not get the double up.

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The action folded to Demo Kiriopoulos on the button who raised it up 25,000. The small blind re-raised to 80,000 and Kiriopoulos called to see a flop of {7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}. The small blind led out for 105,000 and Kiriopoulos stuck around to see the {5-Clubs} on the turn.

Again, the small blind led out, this time for 235,000. Kiriopoulos thought for a moment and then tossed in a call. The river landed the {a-Clubs} and the small blind fired one more barrel of 275,000. With four clubs on the board, Kiriopoulos elected to fold but still remained above starting stack after his quick start to the day.

Berkey Eliminated in Two Hands

Level 2 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The board read {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} with around 675,000 in the middle already. Mark Bradley led out for 200,000 from the small blind and Matt Berkey called from the button. The river brought the {k-Spades} and Bradley checked as did Berkey. Bradley turned over {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs} for a set of kings while Berkey tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}.

Just a few hands later, the flop read {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Berkey check-raised all in for 343,000 which was called by Bradley. Berkey tabled {q-Clubs}{j-Spades} but ran into the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Bradley. The {7-Diamonds} on the turn nor the {3-Hearts} on the river improved Berkey's hand and he was sent to the rail.
