Day 1 Started

It's Time for the $25,300 Super High Roller at partypoker MILLIONS North America

Montreal
Montreal

Another day, another high roller at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada! After the $10,300 High Roller concluded yesterday, everyone is now gearing up for the partypoker MILLIONS North America $25,300 Super High Roller. The action is slated to kick off again at 12:00 PM local time and the players will be looking forward to another $1,000,000 guaranteed prizepool.

The structures will be very similar in nature, as players will once again begin with a healthy stack of 1,000,000 chips. The blinds will open up at 5,000/10,000 with a 5,000 button ante. After the first level, the button ante will then become equal to that of the big blind. The blind levels will continue to be 40-minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three levels.

Late registration will remain open for the better part of Day 1, closing after the end of level nine at approximately 6:45 PM EST. Only one re-entry will be permitted per each player, should their first bullet not work out so well. A total of 12 levels will be on tap for the opening day, at which point players will bag and tag to return for the final day.

The PokerNews live reporting team will bring you all of the live coverage throughout the event.

The action folded around to Sam Chartier in the small blind who just limped in and Manig Loeser checked his option in the big blind. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Chartier checked to Loeser who bet 12,000. The French-Canadian check-raised to 35,000 and Loeser made the call.

The turn brought the {2-Hearts} and Chartier fired another 65,000 which Loeser continued to call. The river was the {a-Diamonds}, putting a four-card straight on the board, but Chartier still tossed in a bet of 200,000. Loeser slid forward a stack of 700,000, enough to put Chartier to the test for his remaining 230,000 chips. He made the call and Loeser tabled {6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} for the nuts, while Chartier flashed the {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs} for a smaller straight.
