Gruissem Takes Big Pot From Becker

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

On the heads-up turn of {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Johannes Becker bet 9,000 with the {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} in the cutoff after fellow German Philipp Gruissem had checked to him in the big blind with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for the nut flush.

Dmitry Yurasov
Dmitry Yurasov

Aleksandr Gofman started as the shortest stack and won a few small pots to boost his stack. Just now he had raised and picked up two callers on the outer tables including Ivan Leow on the button and Phil Ivey in the big blind. On the {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop, Ivey check-folded to a bet of 4,700 by Gofman and a call by Leow.

On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Gofman checked and folded to the shove of Leow.

Soon after, a raise by Leow saw fellow short stack Dmitry Yurasov push for some 14 big blinds with {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and Ivey reshoved with pocket jacks to isolate successfully. No over cards or clubs came to the rescue of Yurasov and he was eliminated.

Bartlomiej Machon is now on the same table after having re-entered not long ago.

On the {2-Spades} river both checked and Pateychuk showed the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}, Filatov won the pot with {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

Machon Busts to Antonius

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Bartlomiej Machon
Bartlomiej Machon

Bartlomiej Machon was all in for 15,900 with the {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} over on the feature table and Patrik Antonius looked him up with the far superior stack and better hand in {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. Both flopped two pair on {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the {5-Diamonds} turn and {9-Spades} river run out brought no miracle for Machon.
