Machon Gets Value From Tang

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Devan Tang raised to 2,000 with the {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Bartlomiej Machon three-bet to 8,500 with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} out of the big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop, Machon continued for 4,500 and was called by Tang.

No action took place on the {Q-Clubs} turn and the {K-Diamonds} river brought a bet of 15,000 by Machon with 20,000 behind. Tang called and mucked his inferior full house as soon as Machon turned over his cards.

Some Value for Tang

Level 7 : 400/800, 800 ante

Devan Tang raised it up to 2,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} in the cutoff and Paul Phua called on the button with the {K-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. On the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop, Tang checked and called a bet of 2,200 by Phua. The {5-Hearts} turn went check, check, and Tang bet the {6-Clubs} river for 7,000.

Phua was not happy about the call but eventually tossed in the chips to see the bad news.

Aleksandr Gofman
Aleksandr Gofman

A few minutes into the new level, short-stacked Aleksandr Gofman eventually got his last 10,800 in from the hijack on the outer tables. Dietrich Fast in the small blind asked for a count and called.

Aleksandr Gofman: {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs}
Dietrich Fast: {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board of {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} gave Gofman top pair and new life, he remains short-stacked though.

Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Patrik Antonius raised to 1,400 with the {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} in the hijack and Anatoly Filatov three-bet to 4,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Farrell Vanishes on Outer Tables

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante
Niall Farrell
Niall Farrell

The board was all but rushed away when Niall Farrell grabbed his belongings and headed to the rail. Johannes Becker raked in the chips of the Scotsman and was kind enough to confirm what had happened, along with fellow German Dietrich Fast.

According to Becker and Fast, Farrell had raised first to act to 1,400 and called a three-bet to 4,200 by table neighbor Becker. Farrell check-called three barrels by Becker on a {8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board and was shown pocket queens with the {Q-Diamonds} by Becker. Farrell only had a bluff catcher with the {A-Diamonds}{J-} and ran out of chips in his first attempt.

Chan Doubles Through Sinclair

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Wai Leong Chan opened the action with a raise to 1,400 with the {3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in the cutoff and Jack Sinclair defended the big blind with {A-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The flop appeared {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Sinclair checked before subsequently raising from 1,800 to 5,600, Chan called.

The {4-Spades} on the turn improved Chan to a straight and it was Sinclair that continued for 9,000 with his top two pair. Chan jammed for 24,550 and Sinclair called, but the Brit could not find any help with the blank {3-Spades} river to lose a big portion of his stack.
