Day 3 of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK Open Begins at Noon

Welcome to Day 3 of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS UK £1,100 Open which gets underway at Noon local time today. The returning 46 players have all locked up a minimum cash worth £4,800 but will have their sights firmly set on a run to the final table and a chance at banking the £180,000 first-place prize.

Andrew Haygarth will sit down with the chip lead after he bagged 56,325,000 last night but is closely followed by Dean Wilson, who bagged 56,200,000. Gordon Huntly (35,550,000), Grant Kinnear (34,700,000), Rory Liffey (34,000,000) and Paul McTaggart (32,875,000) are all in the following pack.

There will also be a rare dynamic in the field today as two brothers will return for Day 3. Austria's Daniel and Armin Rezaei bagged 31,875,000 and 31,300,000 respectively and could bet set to do battle during the day.

Chris Da-Silva (32,700,000), Iaron Lightbourne (23,500,000), Benny Glaser (18,925,000), Andrew Hulme (12,275,000), Jack Sinclair (12,100,000) will also be in action alongside partypoker pros Natalia Breviglieri (6,825,000) and Anatoly Filatov (5,300,000).

Ten 50-minute levels are scheduled to be played today, with a 30-second shot clock in action. Each player will receive six time-bank cards worth 30-seconds each at the start of play. If a player runs out of time before they have acted their hand will be declared dead.

The blinds will start at 200,000/400,000 with a 400,000 button ante in level 23. A 45-minute dinner break is scheduled at the end of level 28.

Join us here at PokerNews from Noon for all the action!

Filatov Cracks Ace-King & Aces to Triple Up; Sheils Wins Big

Level 23 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Anatoly Filatov
Anatoly Filatov

Anatoly Filatov moved all in from middle position for around 5m with {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}, and Paul McTaggart and Brandon Sheils got all their chips into the middle as well.

McTaggart held {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}, but Sheils was a big favorite with {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}.

The {2-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop gave Filatov some hope of survival but the turn {4-Diamonds} was no help. The Russian was all set to exit, but the river {k-Clubs} gave him two pair, and he survived miraculously to win the main pot, with Sheils taking a big side pot to move over 38m.

Brenner Doubles to 50m With a Royal Flush

Level 23 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Jurgen Brenner
Jurgen Brenner

Jurgen Brenner and Paul Michaelis have just played out the hand of the tournament so far, and it resulted in Brenner hitting the 50m mark with a royal flush.

Brenner was playing from the button and Michaelis was in the big blind. When we arrived at the table, the cards were on their backs, and Brenner retold the action.

Brenner called a three-bet from Michaelis preflop, and the flop fell {a-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Michaelis bet 2.4m and Brenner raised to 7.2m which was called. The turn brought the {k-Clubs}, and Michaelis check-called a 5.5m bet. After the river fell the {q-Spades}, Michaelis moved all in and Brenner snap-called.

Michaelis held {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} for a full house, but Brenner tabled {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the royal flush to swoop the pot as the table looked on in amazement.

Michaelis was left with just 1.1m but secured a double up in the very next hand.

Sheils Eliminates Kandola

Level 25 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Brandon Sheils
Brandon Sheils

Brandon Sheils has continued his rise up the chip counts on Day 3 and eliminated another player. Parminder Kandola moved all in for his last 8m from middle position, and Sheils raised from the small blind which got the big blind to fold.

Sheils tabled pocket kings, and Kandola was behind with pocket sevens. The {a-}{10-}{5-}{6-}{5-} board kept Sheils in the lead and Kandolo was eliminated in 33rd place.

The remaining 32 players are now playing across four tables and have all locked up £5,500.

Start-of-Day Chip Leader Haygarth Departs

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Andrew Haygarth
Andrew Haygarth

Day 3 has not gone to plan for start-of-day chip leader Andrew Haygarth after he recently departed in 21st place.

We were informed that Haygarth held a flush, but it was no good against Artur Gjoka's full house after all the chips went into the middle on the river.

Haygarth came into Day 3 with 56m and stayed about that mark for the majority of proceedings today, peaking at 70m. But his momentum could not continue, and his name is now on the exits list, and he takes away £6,250.

Lightbourne Hits Trips and Wins Big Against

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Iaron Lightbourne
Iaron Lightbourne

The board was down {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Daniel Rezaei, in the big blind, had check-called a 9.8m from Iaron Lightbourne who was on the button.

The river card was revealed to be the {7-Hearts} and after Rezaei checked Lightbourne moved all in for 26m. At this point, Rezaei went into the tank, and one by one uses his final three-time cards to gain an extra minute of thinking time each as he contemplated his decision.

"This could be a sick, sick call man," said Rezaei while thinking, but Lightbourne remained silent.

With just five seconds left before his hand was declared dead Rezaei called and Lightbourne tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for trip queens. Rezaei looked defeated and flipped over {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for two pair.

Lightbourne clawed in the mammoth pot and moved up to 85m.

Gjoka Eliminates Watson to Extend His Lead at the Top

Level 29 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante
Nathan Watson
Nathan Watson

Nathan Watson was happy to get all his chips into the middle against current chip leader Artur Gjoka, and the former came off worse.

Watson's stack was being moved in Gjoka's direction when we got to the table and in front of him was pocket eights. But Gjoka held pocket nines, and the board didn't help Watson get out of trouble.

Watson departs with £6,250 as Gjoka takes another big step towards being the first player to hit 200m.
