Vamplew in the Field and Going Steady

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

David Vamplew's last two cashes have been at Dusk Till Dawn; in the MILLIONS back in April 2017 and later at the DTD1000 in August. Vamplew is back and in this hand defended his big blind after the cutoff opened to 5,000.

The flop came [jsh9hjh] and Vamplew check-called a bet of 5,000. The turn was the {k-Hearts} and both players checked.

The pair checked the {a-Spades} river and Vamplew showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} and took down the pot.

Garland Rivers Two Outer for the Chip Lead

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The button limped and Andrew Garland completed in the small blind. Tim Slater was in the big blind and raised to 6,600. The button folded and Garland called.

Garland check-called a bet of 8,000 on the {5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. The turn was the {q-Diamonds}. Garland checked and Slater moved all in for 57,600. Garland called.

Slater showed {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} for top pair and Garland said "Bad call," and turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

The river was the {q-Spades} giving Garland trips, and Slater shot to his feet. "Ridiculous," he said, "Fucking ridiculous," as he was sent to the rail at the hands of a two-outer.

Garland, who is affectionately known by the moniker 'The Elderly Maniac,' now sits on a healthy 370,000

Breviglieri At Starting Stack, But That's Half the Story

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Natalia Breviglieri
Natalia Breviglieri

Natalia Breviglieri may be at starting stack, but that's half the story according to her.

"I was down to 22,000," said Breviglieri, "I had nines against an opponent with {a-}{5-}. The board came {j-}{j-}{3-}{2-}{4-} so my opponent rivered a wheel.

"ThenI picked up kings to double up. Next hand I had jacks and cracked queens after I flopped a jack. I just doubled a short stack up so I'm back to starting stack!"

"Nice Bet" Forces Leckey to Fold

Level 4 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

On a double-paired board of {5-Clubs}{5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{q-Clubs} Paul Leckey was facing a bet of 82,500 into a pot approaching 85,000. Leckey asked what the bet was and the dealer counted out.

Eventually Leckey folded, and his opponent took down the pot without showing. "Nice bet," said Leckey.

More Players Join the Field

Level 4 : 700/1,400, 1,400 ante

A handful of big names have joined the field including Manig Loeser, who has sat down in between Tom Middleton and Marcel Luske. We will have to wait and see whether these three clash at all over the course of the day.
