Dahe Liu Eliminated from the Main Event

Action folded to Dahe Liu in the small blind, and he moved all in for 150,000. Ali Ayub in the big blind called, and the dealer waited to be given the green light before revealing both players cards. After a few minutes, the thumbs up was given.

Dahe Liu: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Ali Ayub: {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Board: {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}{q-Hearts} {k-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}

Ayub hit a pair of queens on the flop to take the lead and held to eliminate Liu in 120th place. As a consolation prize Liu was presented with a £220 partypoker UKPC Finale ticket to use in tomorrow's Day 1c or Day 1d.

The tournament director went on to congratulate the remaining 119 players in the Main Event who are all now guaranteed a minimum of £2,500.

Timson Doubles Through Brandt; Harrison Takes From Laurie

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

On a {4-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Spades} board Alex Harrison had bet 430,000 into a pot of over 600,000. Andrew Laurie was thinking about his decision, and after the clock was called Laurie eventually called. Harrison showed {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and his pair of aces was good enough to take down the pot.

Meanwhile Nicholas Timson's {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts} was good enough to get the double against Patrice Brandt's {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}. Timson now sits on 200,000.

Mccluskey Has Aces Beaten on the Bubble

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

The partypoker UK Championships Main Event is on the pure bubble after Mark Mccluskey was eliminated.

Mccluskey was all-in for 450,000 and had two opponents still in the pot with decisions to make. The first was Tamas Polster and he mulled over his decision counting and recounting his chip-stack before slamming down a call. The other player still to act let his hand go after some deep thought.

Mark Mccluskey: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}
Tamas Polster: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

Board: {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} {2-Diamonds} {8-Spades}

The flop gave Polster a surprise lead as a king hit and he shouted in happiness. The turn gave him a flush draw to go alongside his set meaning Mccluskey was drawing to just the ace-of-clubs. He could not hit his one-outer and departed short of the money places.

Hand-for-hand play continues and after the next elimination all 119 remaining players will be in the money.

All Eyes on Morgan as He Makes the Right Call

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

With the board showing {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}, Daniel Morgan faced a bet of 300,000. At this point, the pot was now around 800,000 and with hand-for-hand play still occurring the pressure was on him.

After a couple of minutes thought to his decision a crowd started to gather around Morgan as the rest of the field were waiting for the hand to finish.

"I have an over-pair," Morgan said whilst looking at his opponent but got no response from him.

After a couple more minutes passed, he took three blue 100k chips from the top of this stack and shuffled them before putting them in the middle to call.

Daniel Morgan: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

Morgan held top-pair and his decision to call paid off as his opponent mucked ace-high.

Loeser Bluffs a Shortstack

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

On a board of {8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} Manig Loeser checked to Romain Champy who bet 58,000. Loeser check-raised to 159,000 and Champy called.

The river was the {6-Clubs} and just as Loeser was announcing all-in, the tournament staff asked dealers to stop dealing at the completion of their hand.

"For f*ck's sake," said Champy, "Really?" He agonised over his decision as players started to crane their necks towards the table before eventually folding. Loeser showed {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for a king-high bluff and took down the pot.

Play is now hand-for-hand.
