Romain Lewis Eliminated in 3rd Place (€428,000)

Level 32 : 3,000,000/6,000,000, 6,000,000 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Romain Lewis went all in from the button for 80,500,000, and Josef Snejberg made the call from the small blind.

Romain Lewis: {k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
Josef Snejberg: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Board: {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The ace on the flop left Lewis hanging by a thread. Lewis picked up equity on the {9-Spades}, but the {5-Clubs} ensured the bustout.

Lukas Zaskodny and Josef Snejberg are now heads-up for the championship. The players will go on a short break before play resumes.

Severin Schleser

Lukas Zaskodny raised from the small blind with {q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to 13,500,000 and Severin Schleser woke up in the big blind with {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. He opted for the slow-play option and just called from a 77,000,000 stack.

The flop fell {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Zaskodny bet 11,500,000 after he flopped two pair. Schleser just called again and the {8-Hearts} fell on the turn. Zaskodny bet 25,000,000 after asking how much Schleser had behind and the Austrian immediately pushed his last 57,500,000 in the middle. Zaskodny snap-called and Schleser saw the bad news.

The river was a meaningless {j-Clubs} and Schleser was eliminated in fourth place for €300,000. He was one of the players that qualified through a $109 satellite on partypoker and now returns home with a huge six-figure score.
