Lalos Wins With Two Pair

Level 4 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Sasa Lalos raised to 22,000 from middle position and he was called by big blind Jonathan Lemon. The flop was dealt {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{3-Spades} and both players checked quickly to see the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

Both players put 40,000 in the pot this time as Tony G sprayed champagne all over the other poker room in King's Resort after he won the $25,000 Triton Short Deck tournament.

The {4-Diamonds} river was dealt after the focus was back on the tournament and Lemon check-called a bet of 77,000.

Lalos took the pot down after he showed {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Simunic Checks Behind

Level 4 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

The complete {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} board was on the table and the pot had already 550,000 in it. Jonas Lauck checked from the small blind to Josip Simunic in middle position. Both had about the size of the pot behind.

Simunic checked behind and Lauck opened up {a-}{k-}. Simunic showed the {a-Diamonds} but mucked the other card and Lauck took the pot down.

Two €25,000 buy-in tournaments started yesterday and one of them was in the Short deck variation. The other one was in the 'long deck' form, how the €25k MILLIONS Super High Roller was dubbed by the players trying to keep the two separate.

Michael Addamo ended the day as chip leader with 4,940,000 chips from the 1,000,000 everyone started with. Others that bagged on the first day include Ole Schemion (3,060,000), Michael Chi Zhang (2,980,000), Kahle Burns (2,845,000), Sam Grafton (2,625,000), Anton Morgenstern (1,800,000), Teun Mulder (1,490,000), and Steffen Sontheimer (1,260,000).

Registration is still open for the first two levels of the day and multiple entries are needed to reach the guaranteed prize pool of €1,000,000. Rezaei Takes Down Big Pot

Level 3 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Daniel Rezaei
Daniel Rezaei

Daniel Rezaei and Jenya Gavrilovich were involved in a pretty big pot where the complete {k-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{q-Clubs} board was already on the table. There was about 400,000 in the middle and Rezaei had fired a big bet of 463,000.

Gavrilovich went into the tank and had to use multiple time bank cards before he ended up calling. Rezaei showed {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for the absolute nuts and Gavrilovich mucked his hand.

Hu Chipping Up

Level 3 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The {9-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was already out there and big blind Yannik Hofmann had checked to David Hu in the hijack. The Dutchman bet 33,000 and his neighbor, Italian Andrea Ricci, called. Hofmann also stuck around.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds} and the three all checked and saw the {j-Clubs} on the river. Hofmann had checked to Hu again who fired a bet of 90,000. Both of his opponents got out of the way.
