Chang Leaves Disappointed

Level 20 : 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

The action folded to Kyle Chang on the button who ripped all in for 2,410,000. Jason James asked for a count in the small blind and then made the call as his time was expiring.

James: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Chang: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Chang was in a dominating position and that held true through the {9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop. However, the {10-Spades} on the turn got Chang out of his seat in a hurry. The {6-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Chang continued to head for the exit.

Pinto checked this time and Givens tossed in a bet of 1,500,000. Pinto quickly made the call and Givens turned over {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a flush. Pinto mucked his cards and Givens got back some of his lost chips.

Think Long, Think Wrong

Level 20 : 70,000/140,000, 140,000 ante

Picking up the action on the turn with the board reading {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}, the action was on Philippe D'Auteuil in middle position. D'Auteuil bet 350,000 into a pot of around 600,000 and Robin Hegele called from the big blind.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Hegele checked to D'Auteuil who bet 700,000. Hegel went into the tank and was forced to use up three of his time extensions. After some confusion with the clock, Hegele finally made the call and D'Auteuil turned over {a-Spades}{q-Spades} for the best hand.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {10-Spades} on the river. Lam reached for a bet of 750,000 and Sauvageau used up his entire 30 seconds before making the call. Lam sent her cards to the muck and Sauvageau was awarded the pot without having to show his cards.

Patrick Clarke
Patrick Clarke

Brandon Sheils raised it up from the cutoff and Patrick Clarke just called from the big blind. The flop fell {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and Clarke checked to Sheils who continued for 240,000. Clarke check-raised to 865,000 and Sheils called.

The turn was the {6-Spades} and Clarke tanked for almost two minutes before shoving all in for 2,780,000. Sheils wasted no time in making the call and Clarke was drawing dead.

Sheils tabled {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a set of fives while Clarke held {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}. The {a-Hearts} on the river was irrelevant and Clarke was eliminated.

Queens for Plante

Level 19 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Santiago Plante
Santiago Plante

Sandy Lam opened the hijack to 325,000 and Santiago Plante defended the big blind.

The flop landed {4-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and Plante checked to Lam who continued for 425,000.

Plante called, and then checked the {6-Hearts} on the turn. Lam bet 800,000, and Plante called once more.

The river fell the {8-Spades} and Plante checked. Lam tossed in 600,000, and Plante snap-called.

Lam revealed her {j-Spades}{6-Spades} for eights-up, but it would be Plante's {q-Hearts}{q-Spades} for queens-up that would earn him the pot.
