Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

After defending his big blind and getting to the river of a board {A-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, Mikhail Rudoy bet 3.3 million out of the big blind and Stephen Chidwick on the button slid forward a raise to 12.7 million. He kept 800,000 chips behind and the all in triangle was not thrown to Chidwick.

Rudoy used three time banks and eventually called by setting in his stack of T-500,000 chips, he did however have a 5,000,000 chips left as well. Rudoy showed {A-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for trips aces and Chidwick revealed {J-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush.

Since it was just a call, Chidwick narrowly missed out on the full double up, but Rudoy was left very short nonetheless.

Jiang Dashes Brutal Beat to Pankov

Level 28 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante
Honglin Jiang
Honglin Jiang

Vitalii Pankov raised to 2.2 million in the cutoff and Honglin Jiang three-bet to 6.2 million from the button. Pankov called and the flop fell {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Pankov checked and called a bet of 4.2 million by Jiang before checking the {9-Diamonds} on the turn. Jiang moved all in and Pankov asked for a count, the shove was for 24.2 million.

After using two time banks, Pankov called and was in prime shape to reduce the field by one.

Honglin Jiang: {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}
Vitalii Pankov: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}

The {10-Spades} river gave Jiang an unlikely straight and he stood up from his chair, gasping "oh my god." Pankov didn't show any emotions at all and just paid off the all in.
