Less than Half the Field Remain in High Roller Knockout Weekender Day 1C

With 28 players already through to Day 2 of the High Roller Knockout Weekender, it's the last change for players to advance in this $500,000 GTD tournament.

With 62 players from a field of 159 in Day 1C, Patrick Leonard is still going strong and is situated in the top 10. However, not so good news for Kristen Bicknell, Dzmitry Urbanovich and Joao Simao who have all been eliminated.

With 15% of the Day 1C field advancing, it appears like the tournament will have to play down to 24 players before the fields combine for Day 2.

The Team partypoker pro came out top of a 606-strong field in the $55 buy-in 7-Max Deepstack Hyper Knockout to bank $4,819 when bounty payments are taken into consideration.

Late registration in both The High Roller Big Game and The Big Game is open for just over 75 minutes more.

In The High Roller Big Game, Patrick Leonard, Isaac Haxton and Kristen Bicknell are in the top 15 chip counts. Jason Koon has just joined the field, with Joni Jouhkimainen also present.

Meanwhile it's girl power in The Big Game as both Kristen Bicknell and Day Kotoviezy sit with more than double starting stack.

Day 1C of the The High Roller Knockout Weekender has come to a close with 24 players advancing to Day 2. That brings the total number of players in the Day 2 field to 52.

The chip leader is currently Thomas Muehloecker who advanced from Day 1C with 1.8 million chips, well ahead of Lars Kamphues and Alex Foxen. Other big names through to Day 2 include Goran Mandic, Sami Kelopuro and Niklas Astedt.

Jason Koon, Mikita Badziakouski and Isaac Haxton have all been eliminated from The High Roller Big Game. Of the trio, Koon has re-entered, with both Badziakouski and Haxton yet to do so.

Late registration and single re-entry is open until the end of Level 12, which is in just over half an hour's time.

Juan Pardo currently leads The High Roller Big Game with over six million chips, ahead of Kevin Macdonald and Alexandros Theologis.

We're keeping an eye on The High Roller Big Game tonight with plenty of big names in action.

On a {k-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} turn, Kevin Macdonald and Patrick Leonard both checked.

The river was the {7-Spades}. Macdonald bet 580,000 and Leonard called. Macdonald showed {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and took down the pot.

Leonard is still sitting with four million in chips, good enough for 11/40 players remaining. Kristen Bicknell is currently seventh in chips, with fellow partypoker pro Mikita Badziakouski also still in contention.
