Just three hours and 30 minutes into the WPT Turbo Championship, the field of 118 is down to just 18 split across three tables.

In the lead is Guillaume Nolet ahead of Pedro Garagnani. Isaac Haxton was the last partypoker Ambassador remaining, but fell in 22nd place.

Confirmed payouts are unavailable in the client, but the tournament did miss the guarantee. We'll be keeping an eye on the tournament as it closes in on crowning a winner.

Like all major live poker tournaments, the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS tour succumb to the COVID-19 pandemic. Pablo Brito Silva was the last player crowned a partypoker LIVE MILLIONS champion when he won the MILLIONS South America Main Event back in February 2020. it has been a long and arduous wait for the MILLIONS to return, but that wait is almost over.

With just two eliminations remaining before Day 2, Lauri Varonen has been eliminated by Kevin Macdonald.

Varonen held {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and got it all in against Macdonald's {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}. The board ran out {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Varonen was eliminated.

52 players advanced from a field of 346 players in Day 1C of the WPT World Online Championships Main Event. The chip leader is Canadian Kevin Macdonald with 3.6 million.

Daniel Smiljkovic, Joshua McCully and Timothy Francis are the only other players over three million in chips.

Other notables through to Day 2 include Benjamin Rolle, Koray Aldemir, Mustapha Kanit, Mark Radoja, Kenny Hallaert, Niklas Astedt, Rui Ferreira and Jonathan van Fleet.

partypoker Ambassador Matthew Staples battled it out to finish 43rd in chips after doubling up on the very first hand he played, and remained among the top spots for most of the day.
