Tatar's Chips Fried as Queens Cracked

Level 13 : 3,000/6,000, 500 ante
Marek Tatar
Marek Tatar

Marek Tatar made it 14,000 to go from first position, and both Jan-Peter Jachtmann on the button and "je" in the big blind made the call. The measly looking {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop got the fireworks going as Tatar continued for 35,000, Jachtmann made the call and je moved all-in for 112,500 total. Tatar came back over the top for 260,000 total, and that was enough for the partypoker Ambassador to throw in the towel.

Tatar confidently revealed {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} but they were trailing the {2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} of je, and that didn't change as the dealer burned and turned the {5-Spades}. Jachtmann jumped out of his seat as he would have made a set on the turn had he called, and that would have been enough for the win as the river came {3-Hearts}.

As it was je instead raked in the massive pot, but both Tatar and Jachtmann are doing just fine as well.

Berent and Michaelis Tangles One Last Time

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Norbert Berent and Paul Michaelis have been battling each other all day, and it has very much been a case of fighting fire with fire. The two of them just got to tangle one last time before their table broke, and it was Berent to score the last pot with a great river call.

Michaelis fired 15,000 on the {A-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and Berent made the call, before both players checked through the {K-Spades} turn. Michaelis checked his option on the {A-Spades} river, Berent bet 36,000 but looked quite perplexed when Michaelis came back over the top for 105,000 total. Ultimately Berent committed the chips, and Michaelis' {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} were no match against the {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} of Berent.

Berent didn't look unhappy with being separated from the aggressive Michaelis, but his smile certainly faded when he got the news that he will now have Anatoly Filatov with a massive chip leader stack just two seats behind him.

7andar's Finds Aces Against Mach's Queens

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Han Kuo Yong is among the latest casualties in the €2,200 High Roller

Jan Mach made it 11,000 from early position, and "7andar" made it 27,500 to go from the cutoff. The button and blinds got out of the way before Mach came back over the top to 70,500, and "7andar" responded with yet another raise to 127,500 total. Mach six-bet it all in for a tad more than 300,000 and 7andrar, quickly committed his entire stack of 283,000 total.

Jan Mach: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
7andar: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}

The {8-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Spades} was no help to Mach, and when the {A-Diamonds} fell on the turn, the Czech was drawing dead. The river was a meaningless {3-Diamonds} and 7andar scooped the massive pot.

In the very next hand, Mach got his few remaining big blinds in holding {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. They would not best the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} of Flowermann3, who even scored a double knock-out when Han Kuo Yong couldn't get there with {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} as the board ran out {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Hearts}.

Michaelis Surges to the Top as Big Stacks Clashes

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante
Paul Michaelis
Paul Michaelis

Paul Michaelis has had a great day at the King's Casino poker felt so far. He started the day with 195,000 but have now surpassed half a million chips in this partypoker LIVE Million Germany €2,200 High Roller.

He just took a big one off another big stack in Norbert Berent. The two got a hefty 70,000 chips in on the {2-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} flop, but proceeded to check down the {2-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river. Michaelis revealed {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for two pair and Berent quietly slid his hand into the muck.
