Nejat Demirtas First Out of the Field

Level 2 : 250/500, 50 ante

The field size has grown to 224 entrants, however, only 222 players remain in their seats. Players came to play in the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany Main Event from many countries including at least half a dozen from Turkey.

Turkey will have one less playing representing its country in the tournament with Nejat Demirtas becoming the first elimination of Day 1f. Players can re-enter the tournament up until the late registration period ends at the start of Level 11 provided that they have only been eliminated one time.

The Talk Asks Willis "Do You Like It?"

Level 2 : 250/500, 50 ante
The Talk
The Talk

Germany's The Talk seems to have the appropriate nickname as he seems to talk in a way that doesn't slow down the game every hand he is involved in.

In a recent hand, Jonathan "Jonty" Willis opened up for 1,400 from mid-position. The player on the button called as did The Talk from the big blind.

All three players checked it around on the {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} flop. The Talk then led out for 1,500 when the {8-Clubs} appeared on the turn. Willis called and the player on the button folded.

The Talk fired out again after the {Q-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, this time for 2,500. Willis snap folded.

The Talk then peaked at one of his cards, the {A-Clubs} before flipping it over. He smiled and said, "Do you like it?"

He then claimed, "of course I had the King," which got a smile out of Willis.

Last Level Before the First Break

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante

The third blind level of the day has just begun with blinds at 300/600 and an ante of 75. The Day 1e field has grown to 251 entrants meaning that there are now 542 entrants or 458 entrants shy of the tournament meeting its €1 million guarantee.

Deal Made in the High Roller

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante
Aleksandar Tomović
Aleksandar Tomović

A deal was recently made between Aleksandar Tomovic, Andre Haneberg and partypoker Ambassador Anatoly Filatov in the High Roller guaranteeing each player €39,000 and the winner another €3,000 on top along with the trophy.

Shortly after the deal, Tomovic was eliminated. Filatov has a 3:2 chip advantage against his opponent entering heads-up play. Click here if you are interested in following the PokerNews coverage of that event.

Rehman Kassam Eliminated From the "Table of Death"

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante

United Kingdom's Rehman Kassam, who earlier made a prop bet that the tournament would make its guarantee, might be helping his cause in one way as he was just eliminated from the field and believed to be strongly considering to re-enter later today.

Kassem's exit was a bit of a cooler. Kassam opened up with {2-}{2-} and was three-bet to 6,500 by one opponent before the player in the small blind cold-called. Kassem called behind and flopped a set on a {J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{2-} flop.

The player in the small blind and Kassem both checked before the player that three-bet preflop fired out a continuation-bet for 6,500. The player in the small blind called before Kassem raised to 20,000 and got calls from both players.

The action was checked to Kassam after the {6-} appeared on the turn. He open jammed the rest of his chips and got a call from the player that three-bet preflop before the player in the small blind folded and showed the table {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

Kassam was looking good with his opponent turning over {6-}{3-} drawing to a five outer. However, one his opponent's outs appeared after the {J-} completed the board and Kassem hit the rail.

Shortly afterward, partypoker Ambassador Natalia Breviglieri, who was on the same table, shared that, "This table is the table of death."

She followed this up by explaining what she meant, stating that three players have already been eliminated from her table before the first break.

Day 1f Field More Than Doubles the Size of the Main Event

Level 3 : 300/600, 75 ante
partypoker TD Christian Scalzi
partypoker TD Christian Scalzi

Partypoker TD Christian Scalzi has just informed us that the Day 1f field has grown to over 300 players. With 291 entrants combined in Day 1a to Day 1e, today's field has more than doubled the size of the Main Event.

The tournament is still around 400 players shy from meeting its €1 million guaranteed prize pool, a figure that may still yet be made based on the pace of entries so far today and a turbo Day 1g taking place tomorrow.

Late Registration will remain open for awhile as not only 10 levels need to be in the books, but also players need to return from a dinner break. As has been the case on previous opening days, players can re-enter up to one time per day.
