Day 1f of the partypoker LIVE Germany Main Event at King's Casino Was a Huge Success

Day 1f of the €1 million guaranteed partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany €1,100 Main Event at King's Casino Rozvadov was a huge success with 384 entrants joining the field or almost 100 players more more than the 291 attracted during the first five opening days (two online at partypoker and three live at King's Casino) combined.

A total of 132 players bagged chips from the Day 1f field making it a total of 215 players thus far that have advanced to Day 2 with one more turbo opening day to be played tomorrow afternoon.

Poland's Prezes managed the best day out of the players in the Day 1f field after bagging 810,000.

Prezes will still enter Day 2 chasing Day 1a chip leader Jung Dirg. has managed to hold on to the overall chip lead going into the rest of the tournament.

Also bagging a big stack was former EPT Grand Final champion Jan Bendick from the Czech Republic with 804,000 chips. A good part of his success came during the midway point of the tournament after a four-way all-in where he held pocket kings. His three other opponents held pocket aces, pocket queens and ace-queen suited, however, the board ran out with four clubs giving Bendik a flush and a pot worth almost 400,000.

Other players finishing Day 1f with big stacks included Czech Republic's Josef Rettenwender with 784,000 and Netherlands' Peter Pan with 668,500.

Partypoker Ambassador Natalia Breviglieri was among the players that were unable to advance in today's field, but it wasn't without trying after firing two bullets. She plans to play again tomorrow.

Two other poker pros also bought in twice and left the field without bagging chips including Germany's Philip Gruissem and Ludovic Geilich.

Meanwhile, partypoker Ambassador, Russia's Anatoly Filatov had a day to remember. He not only was able to bag 337,500 chips on his second bullet of the day but also managed to win the partypoker LIVE MILLION Germany €2,200 High Roller earlier in the day for €42,000 as part of a three-way deal. He was also fired up about betting on Real Madrid and them shipping the Champions League title by a score of four to one. He said the best part of the win was getting a free dinner from a friend that won big money in a cash game.

In addition to the Main Event and the conclusion of the High Roller, today was a big day for poker players with a handful of side events taking place. Those looking for some excitement away from the felt were in luck with a high-energy VIP party full of dancing and drinks.

The final opening day of the Main Event, the turbo-charged Day 1g, will kick off at 12 p.m. local time tomorrow. As soon as that ends, Day 2 will begin at 3:30 p.m. local time. The PokerNews live reporting team will be back on the floor to provide complete coverage of both the final opening day and Day 2.

Last Four Hands

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The tournament staff at the King's Casino Rozvadov have just announced last four hands of the night. Right now former EPT Grand Final winner Jan Bendik might very well be the biggest stack in the room with more than 700,000.

An end of day recap will follow shortly, as well as a full list of chip counts when available.

Ludo Out With Kings

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ludovic Geilich's Day 1f ended just before the day ended. As was the case with the first bullet, luck was not on his side. This time he held pocket kings, which proved to be no match to his opponent's pocket jacks.

Geilich may or may not enter tomorrow's turbo opening day. For now, he is off having fun at the VIP party.

Final Blind Level Begins

Level 12 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

The final level of Day 1f just began. A little more than halfway through the level, the tournament director will ask the dealers to deal a certain amount of hands before the surviving players bag and tag their chips in preparation of Day 2.

The action folded around to Ludovic Geilich in the small blind, and he made it 12,000 to go. Kim De Han in the big blind moved all-in for around 70,000 and Geilich quickly called.

De Han was way out in front with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} against the {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of his opponent, and the {J-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Spades} flop didn't exactly make things worse for the German.

"He started celebrating in his seat, and I was thinking to myself, that an ace would roll off on the turn," Geilich explained after the hand, and right he was.

The {A-Hearts} turn gave both players the very same boat, and only the last jack in the deck would now secure De Han the double-up. It wasn't to be. Instead, the river was a meaningless {2-Hearts}, and the players got to split the antes.

Vandanapu Wins Big Against Jacks

Level 11 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

United Kingdom's Vamshi Vandanapu just snagged a huge pot. The hand began with Czech Republic's Zoltán Bán limping under the gun before Vandanapu raised to 15,500 from one seat over. Another local Czech player, Miroslav Forman, called from mid-position before Bán called behind.

Flop: {Q-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Bán checked the flop before Vandanapu fired a continuation bet for 18.500, Forman called while Bán opted to fold.

Vandanapu fired out against, this time for 31,500, after the {4-Spades} appeared on the turn. Forman called again.

The board completed with the {6-Clubs} on the river. Vandanapu led out for 53,000. Forman went into the tank for a few minutes before jamming his stack. Vandanapu called for 153,000 and scooped a big pot when his {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} proved good against Forman's pocket jacks.
