$215 Event #2: $20K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty

Day 1 Completed

Congratulations to "marioparty", Winner of Event #2: $20K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty for $6,777

The BetMGM Online Series Poker Michigan has now crowned another winner here in Event #2: $20K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty after just five hours of play. A total of 91 runners showed up and when the smoke had cleared it was "marioparty" reigning supreme, taking home a total of $6,777 for their victory.

A final table of eight saw all but one bounty go to "marioparty" who completed steamrolled the last table of the event, pulling in an insane $4,269 in bounties while no one else managed to hit a four-figure bounty. The hand that started the red-hot run of the champ was during the final table bubble when "marioparty" cracked the kings of Jeremy "chases-" McDonald. "marioparty" never looked back, dropping six more opponents en route to their victory.

Action of the Day

The second event of the series started off with 45 players sitting down and it looked like a sure thing to hit the advertised guarantee but the late registration period only had 46 more runners. The 91 total runners created a prize pool that was $1,800 shy of the guarantee, creating an overlay for the players to indulge in.

When the late registration period came to an end there were only 26 left in the field and just 12 were set to find a payday. It took under an hour to hit the money with "Aw8500" taking an exit as the inevitable bubble when their ace-jack failed to beat the ducks of "MiSkins". All players were then guaranteed at least a min-cash of $202 with the eventual champ pulling in $2,508.

"Saltydog", "banjo minnow", "DOLLARS4DANCERS", and Jeremy "chases-" McDonald were the only players to make the money without finding the final table. McDonald bubbled the final table when his pair of kings fell to the ace-four of "marioparty" who flopped and rivered a sailboat to crack the kings, setting the final table with the elimination.

"marioparty" quickly extended their chip lead when they shoved a queen-high board and "Jessica perle" called their stack into the middle with pocket tens. "marioparty" showed their ace-queen for top pair and "jessica perle" was the first elimination of the final table. "Towelie" was the next to take an exit when their ace-jack could not best the pocket kings of "NickHerald" dropping in seventh place.

Another fortunate runout sent "MiSkins" packing when they found their chips go into the pot with ace-king and "marioparty" called with ace-trey. A turned three sent another bounty to the eventual champ as "MiSkins" was eliminated in sixth. "NickHerald" tried their luck versus "marioparty" when they shoved a pair of jacks into the ace-queen of the chipleader. An ace instantly hit the board, dropping "NickHerald" from contention.

"BiggY Blains" looked down at a suited ace-seven in the big blind, shoving a raise by "marioparty" who instantly called with big slick. The cold runout sent "BiggY Blains" to the rail. Ace-six was the bust hand for "smftt" who ran into the nines of "marioparty" which ended in a set of niners sending another bounty in their direction.

The heads-up portion of this event started off completely one-sided but "BranDay" managed to win a few pots, doubling up in one to make it interesting before a cooler hit the felt. "BranDay" opened with a pair of jacks, "marioparty" three-bet and "BranDay" shoved their monster pair, only to run into the pocket kings of "marioparty" who ended up catching quads to end the event. "BranDay" took home $2,507 for their runner-up finish, sending the last bounty of the event over to "marioparty".

"BranDay" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($2,507)

On blinds of 14,000/28,000, "BranDay" opened to 84,000 from the button and "marioparty" then three-bet to 252,000. "BranDay" shoved 1,655,458 and "marioparty" snap-called in what was the last hand of the event.

"BranDay": {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
"marioparty": {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The cooler of a heads-up hand slapped a {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop down, hitting "marioparty" with an unneeded set of cowboys. A {3-Diamonds} turn gave "BranDay" a flush draw but "marioparty" added insult to injury, hitting a {k-Hearts} on the river to give them quads.

"BranDay" took an exit as the inevitable runner-up, pulling in $2,507 for their finish to go along with their $200 that they won in bounties.

"smftt" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($1,585)

On blinds of 12,000/24,000, "marioparty" raised from the small blind and "smftt" shoved 768,300. "marioparty" called and "smftt" was at risk of elimination.

"smftt": {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}
"marioparty": {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

A {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop hit the virtual felt and not much changed. The {6-Hearts} turn brought a few more outs for "smftt" but a {9-Spades} river sealed it for "marioparty" who collected another bounty here on the final table, sending "smftt" out the door.

"BiggY Blains" Eliminated in 4th Place ($1,112)

On blinds of 12,000/24,000, action folded to "marioparty" who raised to 84,000 in the small blind and "BiggY Blains" quickly shoved 847,552. "marioparty" called and the two tabled their hands.

"BiggY Blains": {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
"marioparty": {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop spread out and a cowboy all but cemented the pot for "marioparty". An interesting {2-Clubs} peeled off on the turn, giving "BiggY Blains" a flush draw but the {10-Spades} river was not it and they were eliminated by the red-hot "marioparty".

"NickHerald" Eliminated in 5th Place ($818)

On blinds of 12,000/24,000, "NickHerald" jammed their 596,516 stack in from the small blind and "marioparty" snapped from the big blind.

"NickHerald": {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
"marioparty": {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

The classic flip saw the chipleader take a monster lead when the {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop landed. A {9-Spades} turn and {4-Diamonds} river failed to shift the lead and "marioparty" stacked "NickHerald", pulling in another bounty.

"MiSkins" Eliminated in 6th Place ($610)

On blinds of 12,000/24,000, "MiSkins" shoved 216,730 from the hijack and "marioparty" instantly jammed over the top in the cutoff. Everyone else ducked out, leaving just two for a showdown.

"MiSkins": {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
"marioparty": {a-Spades}{3-Spades}

The flop fell {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and the big slick was a clear favorite until the unlikely {3-Hearts} landed on the turn, hitting the chipleader. An {8-Hearts} river cemented it for "marioparty" who added yet another bounty to their stack at this final table, eliminating "MiSkins".

"Towelie" Eliminated in 7th Place ($458)

On blinds of 10,000/20,000, "Towelie" shoved their stack into the middle from the hijack and "NickHerald" jammed over the top. Everyone else folded and the cards hit their backs.

"Towelie": {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
"NickHerald": {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

The flop came down {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and the kings were still ahead. A {4-Hearts} turn and {9-Spades} river did nothing to change that and "NickHerald" scooped the pot, securing themselves a bounty.
