$320 Event #6: $25K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty

Day 1 Completed

Congratulations to "BlewHueSpew", Winner of Event #6: $25K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty for $6,890

The BetMGM Online Series Poker Michigan has now crowned a champion in Event #6: $25K GTD PKO 8-Max Bounty after just under six hours of play. A total of 80 entry slips were sold and when the smoke had cleared it was "BlewHueSpew" claiming the title, along with a $3,121 first-place prize.

"BlewHueSpew" started the final table near the bottom but turned it around and managed to take down some big bounties along the way. The total bounties of the champ ended up surpassing the first-place money, as they pulled in $3,769 for their KO's which was a total of $6,890 for their win.

The heads-up portion of this event saw Jeremy "chases-" McDonald fall as the inevitable runner-up to the champ. A chip deficit ended up being too much for McDonald to handle and his chip stack quickly fell into the danger zone. He managed to find ace-eight, three-bet jammed and "BlewHueSpew" called with a pair of sevens. McDonald failed to find and love with the board, sending him out the door in second place for $3,119.

Action of the Day

The second and last PKO event of the series drew an 80 player field by the end of late registration which came up $1,000 shy of the $25,000 guarantee that was set. Once the prize pool was announced only 24 players were left in the field with just ten of those set to find a payday. It took just an hour to hit the bubble and it "rickystackerz77" popping it with big slick, dropping "Finman672" as the bubble.

Just a couple of eliminations later and it was the final table where "Tailout" had a commanding lead. "TheDuke8605" found a spot on the button to shove with pocket eights and "UPray4Mercy" called in the big blind with two overs. "UPray4Mercy" flopped a pair to take the lead and "UPray4Mercy" was eliminated from the final table.

Next to go was the once chipleader of the final table in "Tailout" who called a shove on the turn with a pair of nines, only to see the top pair of "UPray4Mercy" sail into a victory to drop "Tailout" in seventh. "Cuz1455" was next on the chopping block when they shoved pocket treys into the queens of "BlewHueSpew", starting a heater for the eventual champ.

McDonald then found a spot to grab a bounty during a three-way hand with "BlewHueSpew" and "HereFisheFishe". McDonald turned a pair of nines to take down the pot, eliminating "HereFisheFishe" in fifth place. "BlewHueSpew" called an all-in by "UPray4Mercy" who held ace-nine and "BlewHueSpew" tabled a pair of eights which held on for the pot. McDonald opened, "rickystackerz77" shoved with ace-ten and McDonald called with queen-jack. Instantly a queen landed and McDonald found himself another bounty.

The heads-up portion of this event saw "BlewHueSpew" instantly kick it into overdrive and McDonald just couldn't keep up with the chip deficit in place. A short-stacked McDonald three-bet shoved with ace-eight and "BlewHueSpew" snap-called with sevens. The board came down clean and "BlewHueSpew" pulled it in with sevens, dropping McDonald as the runner-up for a respectable $3,119.
