Forlenza found himself near the top of the leaderboard midway through the tournament and while chips were easily swinging from one side of the table to another with the fast structure, he kept climbing from there, eventually securing a seat at the final table with some work to do.
He remained patient and kept slowly grinding his way up until he caught fire with five players left. He was responsible from the elimination of all his opponents left from thereon leading him to his victory.
