Jake Toole

The first event of the week here in the partypoker US Network Online PKO Series is in the books, and after the dust settled, it was well-known pro Jake "FerociousPanda" Toole who dominated the event, taking home a first-place prize of $2,316.60, along with a massive $2,120.32 in bounties, nearly $4,500 total.

The next highest total was for runner up "l23weeeeeeeee", who took home just $1,543.06 total.

Final Table Results

7"luckyduck"$313.50$400$813.50
8Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John$237.60$262.50$500.10

Toole would actually start the bubble as one of the short stacks, but he would catch a much needed double up when he won a big pot in a blind versus blind situation with Daniel “leinad” Buzgon.

After that, Toole would lay low as Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John busted in eighth,"luckyduck" in seventh, and "Jonuzi" in 6th. Then, after two big double ups, Toole was suddenly the chip leader. Not long after that, Toole would increase his lead after knocking out the aforementioned Buzgon in sixth place.

Toole would maintain his lead three-handed when he would win the tournament in back-to-back hands. First, his king-queen out kicked the king-jack of "NoRecourse" to bust him in third. Then, on the very next hand, Toole would eliminate "l23weeeeeeeee" with pocket jacks, after flopping a set and holding until the end.

It's a great start to the week for Toole, who should be a regular fixture throughout the week.

The action continues tomorrow with a $2,000 Guaranteed Progressive Knockout Event, starting up at 7:30 p.m. ET, just like today.

"l23weeeeeeeee" Eliminated in 2nd Place ($1,254 + $289.06 in Bounties)

Blinds: 7,000/14,000

Despite how deep both players were to start, heads up play lasted exactly one hand. "l23weeeeeeeee" would get his chips in preflop holding {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}, but he was in rough shape against the pocket jacks of Jake “FerociousPanda” Toole.

The flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} gave Toole a set, but actually increased the number of outs for "l23weeeeeeeee". However, a king would never come, and Toole would scoop the final pot of the tournament.

"l23weeeeeeeee" will take home over $1,500 total for his finish, but the first place prize of $2,316.60 will be going home with Toole. In addition, he will nearly double that, with $2,120.32 in bounties collected as well.

Stay tuned for a full recap to be posted shortly.

"NoRecourse" Eliminated in 3rd Place ($904.20 + $556.25 in Bounties)

Blinds: 7,000/14,000

"l23weeeeeeeee" raised to 40,000, and "NoRecourse" responded with a three bet shove of about 280,000. In the big blind, Jake “FerociousPanda” Toole would shove over the top, and "l23weeeeeeeee" would quickly get out of the way.

"NoRecourse": {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Jake “FerociousPanda” Toole: {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board would run down {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and the queen kicker would play for Toole to get them to heads up play.

Ryan “TheSims” Hohner Eliminated in 4th Place ($666.60 + $478.12 in Bounties)

Blinds: 6,000/12,000

Action started with Ryan “TheSims” Hohner shoving all in from under the gun. In the big blind, "l23weeeeeeeee" made the call with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and he was slightly behind the {a-Spades}{4-Hearts} of Hohner.

However, that would quickly change after "l23weeeeeeeee" flopped trip tens. Hohner was drawing dead by the turn, and "l23weeeeeeeee" claimed their first bounty of the entire tournament.

Daniel “leinad” Buzgon Eliminated in 5th Place ($501.60 + $675 in Bounties)

Blinds: 5,000/10,000

Jake “FerociousPanda” Toole is continuing his rise, as he just took the last of Daniel “leinad” Buzgon's chips. In this hand, Buzgon would get his final chips in holding pocket sixes, but right behind him, Toole woke up with a pair of kings.

No two outer came, and Toole scooped another big pot to add to his chip lead.

"Jonuzi" Eliminated in 6th Place ($405.90 + $150 in Bounties)

Blinds: 4,000/8,000

It was a battle of the blinds between "Jonuzi" and Daniel “leinad” Buzgon when the two got in a raising war that saw all of the former's chips get into the middle.

"Jonuzi": {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Daniel “leinad” Buzgon: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The tens would hold for Buzgon, who had just scooped a big pot before that, is back up to one of the chip leaders with over 450,000.

Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John Eliminated in 8th Place ($237.60 + $262.50 in Bounties)

Blinds: 3,500/7,000

Michael “UFOLDIWIN” St. John and "NoRecourse" were heads up on a flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} when St. John checked to "NoRecourse". He fired 35,000, only to see St. John check raise all in for his final 180,000 and change.

"NoRecourse" called with {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}, and was looking to fade the outs of the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} of St. John. He would do just that, and "NoRecourse" scored the first knockout in the money.

Ryan “Whosyourdoddy” Dodd is the Bubble Boy

Blinds: 3,000/6,000

Following an under the gun raise from Ryan “TheSims” Hohner, Ryan “Whosyourdoddy” Dodd moved all in for his final 130,000. Hohner thought for a while before calling with {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and he was flipping against the pocket sevens of Dodd.

Hohner would flop a broadway straight, and thought Dodd got some brief hope when the board paired on the turn, he wasn't able to hit a miracle full house. This means the final eight players have all made the money now.

"NoRecourse" Knocks Out "Allyoucaneat"

Following a raise from "NoRecourse" at the 2,000/4,000 level, "Allyoucaneat" moved all in for his final 55,000 and change. "NoRecourse" called with {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and he was flipping against the pocket tens of "Allyoucaneat".

A jack would come right on the {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} flop, and "NoRecourse" would never look back as the {3-Hearts} turn and {3-Clubs} river peeled off. That allowed "NoRecourse" to scoop the latest bounty and a big pot too.
