Event #5: $10,000 GTD PKO Bounty

Day 1 Started

Today's Event is a $10,000 Guaranteed PKO Bounty

It won't be long until the bounties will be flying once again, as another day of partypoker action will be starting shortly! Yesterday saw Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken do the unlikely, by registering back-to-back wins, after shipping the $12,000 Guaranteed Event. We say it's unlikely, but not really for Vanauken, as this is the second time in July he has won big events on consecutive days.

The series is open to players in New Jersey and will run on the trio of online poker sites that comprised the partypoker US Network – partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

Just like the events leading up to this, registration will be open until the end of Level 12, and all levels will be 10 minutes.

Fletcher Shoves the River

Blinds: 200/400

Action started with "Allyoucaneat" raising to 1,200. It folded to Clayton “claytonfletcher” Fletcher, who three bet to 4,400. "Allyoucaneat" called, and the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}. Fletcher continued for 4,000, "Allyoucaneat" called, and the {j-Spades} hit the turn.

Fletcher bet small, just 2,600, and "Allyoucaneat" called to see the {2-Spades} complete the board. This time, Fletcher went for the max, shoving all in for 20,160.

This was for all of "Allyoucaneat's" chips, and he thought for just a few moments before releasing his hand.

"jimlarry" Scores a Knockout

Blinds: 300/600

After a raise from "jimlarry", "Badbeat1512" reraised it to 6,500. "jimlarry" called, and the flop came down {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. "Badbeat1512" continued for a bet of 9,800, "jimlarry" called, and the {7-Diamonds} hit the turn.

"Badbeat1512" checked this time, and "jimlarry" took advantage of the opportunity by shoving all in. "Badbeat1512" called with pocket queens, but they were no good, as "jimlarry" showed {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Another seven on the river improved "jimlarry" to an unnecessary full house, and he claimed the $25 bounty.

Following an under the gun raise from "KelvinGoku", "marsella304" moved all in, only to be called by the pocket kings of "KelvinGoku". "marsella304" would pick up some help on the flop by pairing his jack, but no further assistance would come, sending him to the virtual rail.

Vanauken Quadruples Up

Blinds: 500/1,000

As was pointed out in the intro, Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken is fresh off of winning back-to-back events in this Progressive Bounty series. He got off to a rough start in today's event, but he was just about to win a huge pot to quickly vault into one of the top spots on the leaderboard yet again.

Vanauken would get his final 14,000 and change into the middle preflop, and he was called by "Kelvingoku", "Big_Daddy", and "Lanufest." After the flop came down {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts}, it checked to "Lanufest", who moved all in. The other two players folded, and the cards were flipped.

"Lanufest": {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Vanauken had two overs and a straight draw, and he would hit the {j-Diamonds} on the turn to take a commanding lead in the hand. A deuce on the river sealed the massive pot for Vanauken.
