On Wednesday night, Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken won his fourth partypoker US Online Series event in the month of July, and his second in as many nights. Vanauken topped a field of 71 in the $215 buy-in Event #4: $12,000 GTD PKO Bounty Boost, earning a payday of $5,691 ($3,738 in prizes + $1,953 in bounties) for his efforts.

The victory marked the second time this month that he accomplished the feat of winning back-to-back events, also doing so on July 8 and July 9, 2020 during the New Jersey-facing platform's other week-long series earlier in the month. Vanauken's four wins have brought with them more than $22,000 of earnings.

Eight players made it into the money, meaning the tournament was on the bubble when the final table began. Vanauken was in the middle of the pack, and knocked out the short-stacked "phillychzsteak1" in ninth place when his sixes flopped a set against two kings. Despite the knockout, Vanauken's place on the leader board remained largely unchanged.

Angel "chromeking" Lopez was the first to fall once the tournament reached the money, and was soon followed by "CoachD," who ran ace-nine suited into the ace-queen of "marysgotqueens," who was the chip leader at the time. Half an hour then went by before Ryan "SimlSgg" Hagerty also fell to "marysgotqueens" when his king-queen lost a coin flip to pocket sixes.

Every subsequent bounty was then claimed by Vanauken, who quietly chipped up over the next two levels as five-handed play went on. He earned a double-knockout against two short stacks of "Jinxy" and David "TheKing411" Coleman to bring about three-handed play, and followed it up by picking up pocket aces to knock out "marysgotqueens."

Vanauken took a slight lead into a roller coaster of a heads-up match that saw him fall behind before finding a double after making a straight versus eventual runner-up Ross "thehebrewhammer" Gottleib, and finished him off moments later after seeing two live cards connect in an all-in preflop situation.

PokerNews will be back on Thursday to bring coverage of the next event in the series, the $109 buy-in Event #5: $10,000 GTD PKO, which will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET. See you then.

In Level 24 with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, all of the chips got in the middle between Ross “Thehebrewhammer” Gottleib and Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken, with Vanauken at risk.

When all was said and done, the board had come {5-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. Gottleib wound up with three of a kind, but Vanauken hit a straight on the river to secure the double and leave Gottleib with around 120,000.

Moments later, stacks once again got in with Gottleib at risk.

Ross “Thehebrewhammer” Gottleib: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Vanauken connected on the flop {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, hitting top pair and pulling way out in front. The turn {8-Hearts} was not enough for Gottleib, as he was unable to improve further on the river {4-Spades}. His pair of eights remained second best and he was eliminated in second place, earning $2,023 plus another $132 in bounties for his efforts.

Meanwhile, Eric "alwaysliquid" Vanauken has won Event #4: $12,000 PKO Bounty Boost for $3,738 plus another $1,953 in bounties. A recap of the tournament will be posted shortly.

Level 24 has now begun with blinds of 12,000/24,000 and an ante of 3,000, and the heads-up match between Ross “Thehebrewhammer” Gottleib and Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken has been nothing short of a roller coaster.

Gottleib pulled ahead early in the match, taking a two-to-one chip advantage before stacks got in preflop with Vanauken at risk.

Eric “alwaysliquid” Vanauken: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Ross “Thehebrewhammer” Gottleib: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}

Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty Eliminated in 6th Place ($654 + $173 in Bounties)

Ryan Hagerty
Ryan Hagerty

In Level 20 with blinds of 6,000/12,000 and an ante of 1,500, Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty jammed for 180,000 in the hijack and received action from "marysgotqueens" in the small blind.

Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}
"marysgotqueens": {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}

Hagerty was in a coin-flip situation for his tournament life but the flop {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} left him with nothing more than backdoor outs to a straight. The turn {a-Hearts} squashed those outs, leaving him drawing dead as the river {j-Spades} completed the runout to result in his elimination from the tournament in sixth place. The pot was sent to "marysgotqueens," who earned the bounty and improved their stack back over 450,000.
