Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd put on a clinic Wednesday night in Event #6 of the partypoker US Network Online Series, outlasting a field of 88 in the $215 buy-in Pot-Limit Omaha Progressive Knockout tournament for $6,204 in total prizes ($2,717 in prizes + $3,487 in bounties).

Dodd triumphed on what was a rare solo entry into the event, as the two-and-a-half-hour late registration period saw the majority of players in for at least two bullets, if not several more. He was seen near the top of the leader board over the first two hours, and had become the chip leader by the time that registration period closed, a title he would not relinquish through the remainder of the tournament.

A frenzy of eliminations occurred just before registration closed and the field found itself culled down to just 15. Nine were set to be paid, and hand-for-hand begun 20 minutes later when 11 were left. The bubble lasted 20 minutes itself, popping when runner-up Michael "UFOLDIWIN" St. John's top set held to eliminate "thekid32" for a pot that put St. John just behind Dodd in the counts.

Fifteen minutes later, the final table of six was reached with Dodd and St. John both well clear of the remaining four in the field. Only one casualty occurred over the next three-and-a-half levels, and during that time Dodd more than doubled his stack. By the time he eliminated "HodorHodorHodor" in fifth place, Dodd had amassed a significant majority of the chips in play before making quick work of "EmeraldForest32 to bring the field down to three.

St. John then eliminated Chris "rumpthumper" White in third during the following level, and Dodd entered the heads-up match with over 70% of the chips in play. He quickly ground down St. John, eventually taking half his stack before St. John found a double to bring stacks back to where they started. Shortly thereafter, Dodd flopped trip jacks and put St. John to a decision for all of his chips on the river. St. John held pocket aces, went deep into the tank, and eventually called to find his aces up no good, resulting in Dodd becoming the victor of the tournament.
