Alex “JinYang” Butcher Wins partypoker US Network Online Players Choice Series Event #3: $12K GTD Mega Tuesday 1/2 Price NLH 6-Max for $28,256

Alex “JinYang” Butcher has claimed the most recent title of the partypoker US Network Online Players Choice Series, topping a field of 883 entries in Event #3: $12K GTD Mega Tuesday 1/2 Price NLH 6-Max.

The tournament far exceeded expectations as 609 players were registered at the start of play with that number gradually building until the 883 total entries became official.

That total number of entries completely obliterated the guarantee generating a $176,600 prize pool meaning, the top 112 finishers would get a piece of the pie with 242 players remaining.

After registration closed the virtual bodies fell at a rapid pace and after a few short levels, "XXESPIAXXX" was eliminated on the bubble, leaving the remaining players in the money.

From there, players started dropping by the wayside as Dan “mj23style” Sewnig (81st place - $402.64), Daniel “leinad” Buzgon (48th Place - $727.59), Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier (38th Place - $865.34), Josh “layitdown08” Rothberg (17th Place - $1,227.37), and Anthony "supremetny" Chin (11th Place - $2,022.07) all got a piece of the pie but fell short of the making final table.

Alex “JinYang” Butcher: {j-Spades}{9-Spades}

Both players connected with the flop but Butcher was ahead with a top-pair of nines.
