Lillis Has The Best Of The Three

James Lillis
James Lillis

In Level 6 with blinds of 500/1,000 and an ante of 125, preflop action saw 8,600 go into the middle with three-way action between "chen718" in the big blind, James "Bagels" Lillis in the hijack, and "kevmo15", who was on the button.

"chen718" checked to put action on Lillis, who bet 3500. Both "kevmo15" and "chen718" called to bring the turn {3-Hearts}, and two checks put action onto "kevmo15", who bet 7,000. "kevmo15" and Lillis both called, and then action checked through the river {8-Hearts} to take the hand to showdown.

First to act, "chen718" showed {k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for a missed king-high flush draw. Lillis tabled {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a missed open-ended straight draw that rivered top pair, and "kevmo15" proceeded to muck thereafter to result in Lillis earning the pot of 40,000 with his rivered pair of eights.

"Core4" Delivers A Blow To The Chin

In Level 5 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, "Core4" opened in the hijack and was called by Cholie in the cutoff before Anthony "supremetny" Chin put in a three-bet on the button. The blinds folded and "Core4" four-bet jammed for 19,250. "Cholie" folded and Chin called.

"Core4": {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}
Anthony "supremetny" Chin: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

"Core4" needed to hit a nine and did just that on the flop {10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. They stayed ahead as the turn {4-Spades} and river {10-Spades} completed the runout, earning the double with a full house at Chin's expense.

Forlenza Scores the First Bounty

In Level 4 with blinds of 300/600 and an ante of 75, John "Slapshot1085" Forlenza just earned the first bounty of the tournament, eliminating "angels" to earn themselves $75 and take the chip lead as 37 players now remain out of 38 recorded entries.

In Level 3 with blinds of 250/500 and an ante of 60, there was 13,300 in the middle on a board reading {k-Spades}{7-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Hearts} with heads-up, blind-on-blind action. "BigBang" checked to Ryan "simlSgg" Hagerty, who bet 7,500 and received a call. The river fell {2-Spades} and "BigBang" checked to Hagerty again, who this time checked behind to take the hand to showdown.

"BigBang" showed {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for top pair, top kicker, and Hagerty bested it with {8-Spades}{4-Spades} for the flopped flush.

Ryan Dodd
Ryan Dodd

In Level 2 with blinds of 200/400 and an ante of 60, action folded to Ryan "Whosyourdoddy" Dodd in the small blind and he completed. Stanton "Stonniepokes" Tentnowski was in the big blind and raised his option to 1,600, prompting a limp-reraise from Dodd to 5,600. Tentnowski called.

The flop dropped {4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Dodd made a continuation-bet of 4,800. Tentnowski called, bringing the turn {7-Clubs}. Dodd thought for a few moments and then shoved for 17,000. Tentnowski went into the tank, dipping into his time bank for a few moments before eventually finding a fold to earn Dodd the pot with his turn shove.

Familiar Faces To Start
