Sudell Takes the Chip Lead

In Level 34 with blinds of 50,000/100,000 and an ante of 12,500, preflop action saw 950,000 go into the middle in a blind-on-blind battle between Derek "pompii" Sudell in the small blind and "KevinDurant" in the big blind.

The flop was and Sudell check-called a bet of 250,000 from "KevinDurant". Sudell then check-called another bet of 1.08 million on the turn , bringing the river where action went check-check to take the hand to showdown.

Sudell showed for second pair and "KevinDurant" was unable to top it. With the pot, Sudell now finds himself with the chip lead among the four that still remain.

In Level 33 with blinds of 45,000/90,000 and an ante of 11,250, Derek "pompii" Sudell opened to 180,000 on the button and Anthony "supremetny" Chin re-shoved for 1.87 million in the big blind. Sudell called.

In Level 32 with blinds of 40,000/80,000 and an ante of 10,000, "RobertJordan" opened to160,000 in the hijack and John "Slapshot1085" Forlenza called in the small blind. Action went heads up to a flop of and both players checked.

The turn came and Forlenza bet 336,000. "RobertJordan" called and the river fell . Forlenza checked and "RobertJordan" thought for a few moments before checking behind to take the hand to showdown.

Forlenza showed , with nothing more than an ace kicker to the board's pair of sevens but it proved to be good as "RobertJordan" mucked to give Forlenza the pot.

His win comes on the heels of a few earlier pots, and he has now taken a comfortable chip lead with six still remaining in the tournament.

The turn came and Forlenza fired a bet of 266,000. Sudell called, bringing the river where both players checked to take the hand to showdown.

Forlenza showed and Sudell tabled to earn the pot with two pair, tens and sevens.
