Fishberg With the KO

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Gregory Fishberg
Gregory Fishberg

Shortly after taking a massive chunk out of the stack two seats to his left, Gregory Fishberg sent that same opponent to the rail.

The hand started with Fishberg's opponent opening for 4,500 in the hijack, and Fishberg calling on the button.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, and both players checked.

The hijack check-called a 15,000 bet from Fishberg on the {2-Hearts} turn.

The hijack checked again on the {a-Diamonds} river, Fishberg bet 125,000, enough to cover his opponent, and the hijack called. Fishberg tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the flush, besting the opponent's {5-Spades}{4-Spades} wheel straight.

Fishberg told PokerNews that he's been playing tight all day, and he appears to be in the chip lead with two levels to play. Fishberg was the Day 1c chip leader in the Parx Big Stax 300, and has a shot at accomplishing the same feat on Day 1a of the Big Stax 500.

Massive Pot for Barbosa

Level 11 : 800/1,500, 1,500 ante
Cleiton Barbosa
Cleiton Barbosa

Facing an early-position limp, Cleiton Barbosa raised to 4,500, Bryan Georges called in the big blind, and the early-position limper called.

The flop came {10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and the early-position player led out with a jam, pushing his entire 14,000 into the pot. Barbosa called, and Georges, having Barbosa covered, re-shoved.

Barbosa called, and both he and the under-the-gun player were at risk.

Early Position: {j-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Cletion Barbosa: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Bryan Georges: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Georges was ahead and on the verge of going over the half-million chip mark with a win. The turn, however, brought in the flush for Barbosa, as the {k-Diamonds} hit the board. The river {q-Spades} sealed the win for Barbosa, sent the early-position player to the rail, and took a chunk out of Georges' stack, which still sits at over 300k.

Level 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Douglas Tascarella
Douglas Tascarella

Douglas Tascarella open raised from middle position, Po Ying three-bet to 4,200 from the button, both blinds called, and Tascarella called.

The flop came {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Spades}, both blinds checked, Tascarella bet 8,000, Ying called, the small blind folded, and the big blind called.

The turn came {q-Diamonds}, the big blind checked, Tascarella went all in for 41,200, and Ying went into the tank.

Ying decided on a call, and the big blind thought it over for several moments, eventually folding {8-Spades}{7-Spades} face up.

Douglas Tascarella: {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Po Ying: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

The river brought no help for Ying, as a {6-} hit the board, and Tascarella's set of threes held up.

Keith McCarroll
Keith McCarroll

With more than 15,000 already in the pot, Keith McCarroll checked from the big blind, on the river of a {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} board.

McCarroll's opponent, in middle position, put out a pot-sized bet to 15,500. McCarroll check-raised all in, and his opponent snap called.

McCarroll turned over {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for top full house, and his stunned opponent hesitated for a few moments before tabling his own full house with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. McCarroll moved up to nearly double the starting stack in the aftermath, while his opponent was left with around 4,000 chips.
