New chip leader, Michiel Brummelhuis

Reynolds Doubles Through Minieri

William Reynolds
William Reynolds
Dario Minieri and William Reynolds saw a flop of {9-Clubs} {8-Diamonds} {6-Clubs}. There was already about 28,000 in the middle and Minieri bet 14,500. Reynolds moved all in for 46,900.

"That's about 50? 50, right?" asked Minieri. Once the dealer began to count it down, he saw it was a little under 50,000 and made the call.

"I have a set of eights!" Minieri announced, but was only joking as he really held {7-Spades} {7-Clubs}. "I wouldn't slowroll with a set of eights, just kidding," he finished. Reynolds held {A-Clubs} {K-Clubs} for two overs and a flush draw.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds}, but the river filled up Reynolds' flush with the {J-Clubs}. He doubled to 123,000 while Minieri dropped to 135,000.

Gettin' Kruel

Mike "The Mouth" Matusow limped from the cutoff seat, Christian Kruel completed in the small blind and Nick Schulman checked in the big blind. The three players took the limped flop of {Q-Clubs} {5-Clubs} {5-Hearts} and action checked around.

The turn card was the {9-Clubs} and everyone checked again. The river card was the {2-Hearts} and Kruel bet 4,000. Schulman called and Matusow folded, but not without showing his hand to the player next to him and giving a little speech.

Kruel tabled {5-Spades} {3-Spades} and won the pot to move to 65,000 chips.

"Thanks for the torture, Mike," said Schulman as he had to wait to see the showdown after having called and enduring Matusow's little show.
