Controversy Over a Raise

Bijan Zahmat bet the turn on a board of {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {8-Diamonds} {2-Clubs}. He tossed in one T5,000 chip and announced his bet. According to the fellow Dutch players at the table, Zahmat said 4,800. Kevin Saul was the other player in the hand and thought he heard 2,800 and tossed in three T1,000 chips to call. The floor was called and after some debate on who heard what and what was really said, it was ruled that Zahmat's bet stood at 2,800.

Saul's call was in the pot already and then the river card came the {Q-Clubs}. Both players checked and Zahmat tabled {Q-Spades} {J-Clubs} to win the hand.
