Oh, the Drama

A player under the gun open-shoved for about 110,000 total, and he almost made it safely around the whole table. In the big blind, though, Alex Kamberis looked down at {Q-Hearts}

and insta-called, putting his opponent's {10-Diamonds}

in bad shape to double.

The flop was, well, pretty awesome. It came out {J-Spades}

to give the at-risk player his set of tens, but he wasn't out of the woods yet as Kamberis had flopped open-ender. Sure enough, the tide turned when the {8-Spades}

peeled off the deck, pulling Kamberis back into the lead with his straight to the queen.

The all-in player still had hope. There was four to a split-pot straight flush on board, and a board pair would give him the superior full house as well. It wasn't meant to be though; the blank {6-Diamonds}

filled out the board, and Kamberis pumped his fist in celebration.

After picking up that knockout, Kamberis is up to 385,000.

Mortensen Doubles

After Praz Bansi raised to 14,000 and one player flat-called, Carlos Mortensen shoved in for 105,500. Action got back around to Bansi and he made the call with the other player then ducking out of the way.

Bansi held pocket tens -- {10-Clubs}

-- against Mortensen's big slick -- {A-Spades}

Mortensen went on to flop an ace and stay in front from there on the board of {A-Hearts}

. He now has around 230,000 chips while Bansi slipped back to 855,000.

Bonomo Rising

After a player opened to 14,000, Justin Bonomo three-bet to 40,000. The original raiser called, bringing the two players to a flop of {K-Clubs}

. The first player checked and then Bonomo fired 50,000. His opponent folded and Bonomo moved himself up to 905,000 chips. He's now up towards the top of the pack.

From the cutoff seat, Phil Ivey raised. The button then reraised and Ivey called. The flop came down {K-Hearts}

and both players checked. The turn was the {9-Clubs}

and both players checked again. The river was the {3-Diamonds}

and two more checks followed.

Ivey and his opponent both played the board; Ivey with {10-Clubs}

and his opponent with {5-Diamonds}

. Ivey gave the player a glare when he showed his hand, showing he three-bet him with five high.

Ivey's on 490,000.

Yockey-ing for Position

Ship the double up to the man with the double name

Bryce Yockey opened with a raise from late position, and [Removed:197] made the smooth call in the next seat over.

Heads up, the flop brought {4-Clubs}

. Yockey continued out with a bet of 23,500, only to see [Removed:198] raise it up to 62,000. Without too much delay, Yockey shoved all in with his massive stack, and [Removed:198] made teh call for his tournament life, all ~265,000 of his chips now committed to this pot.

[Removed:198]: {K-Diamonds}

It was the right play by [Removed:198], but he would need to fade a ton of outs from the hot-running Yockey to stay afloat. Somehow, the turn and river were both red blanks, and [Removed:198] secured his big double up.

to double up the all-in player. Suied slipped to 472,000.
