Richey Drops a Small Pot

Brett Richey raised from middle position to 400. He got one caller from the player in the small blind. The flop came down {Q-Hearts} {8-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} and the small blind checked. Richey fired 650 and his opponent called.

The turn brought the {2-Spades} and both players checked.

The river completed the board with the {5-Clubs} and the small blind led with a bet, making it 2,200 to go. Richey slid his hand into the muck. Although he lost a few chips on this hand, Richey is still above the starting stack with around 37,000.

For those of you that may not know who Brett Richey is, he has made the final table of two WSOP events and earned himself nearly $400,000 in tournaments over his career. Richey is also making a name for himself in some of the biggest games at the Bellagio in Las Vegas. If there's a big game going on in Bobby's Room, you can usually find Richey mixing it up with the likes of Doyle Brunson, David Oppenheim and Gus Hansen.
