Gregg Eliminates Gomes

Level 10 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Alexandre Gomes
Alexandre Gomes

Anthony Gregg opened for 2,600 from early position and was called by Erik Seidel in middle position. When action was on Team PokerStars Pro (Brazil) Alex Gomes in the cutoff, he moved all in for right around 25,000. Gregg made the call while Seidel got out of the way.

Gregg: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Gomes: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Race situations have been the standard of the day thus far and this was no different. The {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop changed nothing and neither did the {7-Spades} turn. In order to survive, Gomes needed to catch a king of queen on the river. The dealer slowly burned and turned the non-paint {8-Hearts}. Gomes was sent to the rail while Gregg increased his stack to 175,000.
