The players are on their first 15-minute break of the day.
A funny hand developed as players were leaving the tournament area for their first break. It was heads-up action between Barry Greenstein and an elderly woman in middle position. With a board of and about 2,075 in the pot, Greenstein bet 1,600 only to have the sweet old woman say, "Let's make it 2,000." Well, that wasn't a legal raise and the dealer informed her that she would need to make it 3,200. "Ok, let's do 4,000," she replied as she reached for chips. Greenstein had an amused look on his face and mucked before the dealer even explained the to the rule to the woman. He is down to 19,550.
With about 14,000 in the pot and the board reading , one player checked to Dan "djk123" Kelly. He bet 7,300 and was quickly called, leading to the river card. It was checked to Kelly again and he put in the rest of his stack, 9,050. His opponent called after about 30 seconds, but mucked when Kelly tabled .
Kelly: Up to about 47,000.
A player in early position opened to 350 before Jennifer Tilly, who was stacking chips after knocking out an opponent in a previous hand, announced, "raise" and tossed out a blue, T5,000 chip. The dealer gave her a quizzical look, asked her if she meant to make it 5,000 and she nodded. Action folded to Evelyn Ng who thought 5,000 wasn't enough and moved all in for 29,925.
The original raiser folded and the action was back on Tilly who went deep in the tank. After a few moments of deliberation she finally made the call and the two were racing for a 60,000-chip pot.
Tilly:
Ng:
The flop pushed Tilly into the lead and Ng needed to catch either runner-runner straight cards or one of the two remaining queens to win the hand. The on the turn changed little and the on the river ended the hand and Ng's tournament.
Tilly is off to a very fast start and after winning that huge race she's up to 90,000 chips.
With Viktor "Isildur1" Blom on the direct left of Brandon Cantu, there will most likely be fireworks. It's early, but the two are already mixing it up.
With the board reading and about 2,200 in the pot, Cantu checked. Blom bet 1,350 and was quickly called by Cantu, leading to the turn. Another check came from Cantu. Blom fired 3,600, but Cantu didn't go anywhere. The hit the river and both checked, with Cantu showing .
Blom tossed his hand to the muck, slipping to 27,000. Cantu, meanwhile, upped his stack to about 38,000.
A few players have wandered in as of late. Freddy Deeb has taken at the same table as Jonathan Duhamel, Jason Mercier, and Zachary Clark. Meanwhile, 2005 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion Joe Hachem was trailed by cameras as he made his way to his seat.

Three players remained in a hand with about 2,500 in the pot and a baord reading . The under-the-gun player led out with a bet of 2,375, a woman in early position folded, and Jonathan Little made the call from middle position.
Both players checked the river and Little showed , which easily downed his opponent's . Little is up to about 35,000.
In middle position, Eddy Sabat raised to 400 and was called by the player on the button.
The flop came down and Sabat made a continuation bet of 725. His opponent popped it to 1,850, but failed to chase away Sabat who called. The turn brought the and Sabat check-called 3,200 from his opponent. The followed on the river and Sabat checked again. The player on the button fired 7,000, but couldnt shake Sabat.
was all the button player could muster while Sabat tabled for a flush, upping his stack to about 42,000.
