Our access to the feature table is limited, but we were able to gather a few details about Eugene Katchalov's elimination.
On a board Katchalov check-raised all in with , but was called by an opponent's . The turn brought the and gave Katchalov a flush draw, but the river did not help Katchalov, out just before the end of Level 20.
We have lost Dwyte Pilgrim from the field. He was the preflop raiser, making it 28,000 to play. Right behind him, Timothy Finne three-bet all in with a slightly covering stack. When it came back on Pilgrim, he took just a minute to consider before announcing the call for his last ~320,000 chips.
Showdown
Pilgrim:
Finne:
The flop was a disaster for Dwyte as it came out to put him in a big hole and steal one of his two outs in the process. The turn gave him that out back, actually, but Pilgrim was still drawing slim to the two remaining tens for the double up.
River:
That's not what Pilgrim was looking for, and he has been sent to the rail here deep in Day 3.
Bolivar Palacios was all in, at risk and dominated preflop with against Nicolas Hahn's .
Hahn was nearly drawing dead after the flop however, and the hand was over after the turned. The on the river was only protocol and Palacios raked in the pot doubling to 265,000 chips.
Our reporting crew isn't allowed by the television table, but we have learned that Faraz Jaka was eliminated shortly before the break. From what we gathered, he held for a straight on a flop. His opponent held for two pair and all the money went in on the flop. A on the river gave the unknown player a full house and Jaka was eliminated in 72nd place.
Alan Gould opened to 42,000 and Aaron McCready came for the ride on the button. Both players checked the flop, but after the turned Gould led for 75,000. McCready called.
The river was the and Gould again led - this time for a hefty 175,000. McCready instantly called then mucked when Gould showed him .
Gould's flush increased his stack to 740,000 chips while McCready's slipped to 775,000.
The table folded around to the blinds where Davide Nughes limped in from the small. Gregory Baksic raised to 41,000 from the big, and Nughes came along to see a flop.
"Hello!" someone at the table said as the dealer rolled out a very baller flop. Nughes fired out into the pot with 36,000 chips, and Nughes flat-called. That brought them to the innocent-looking on the turn, and Nughes bet another 43,000. Baksic raised to what looked like 111,000, and Nughes instantly uncapped his cards and sent them to the muck.
Baksic flashed his airball much to the delight of his lone cheerleader on the adjacent rail. He's up to about 375,000 now, dropping Nughes down to 285,000.
Caio Pimenta was all in preflop with the against the of Walid Bou-Habib. Pimenta needed help and the flop gave him some extra outs to a straight. The dealer burned and turned the , which gave Pimenta the said straight. The on the river changed nothing and Pimenta doubled to around 340,000. Bou-Habib is still in decent shape with 700,000.
