Oliver Massive Chip Leader Entering Official Final Table
After nearly six hours of play we are down to an eight-handed final table led by chip leader Chris Oliver. Oliver amassed an impressive 19.67 million-chip stack today and was responsible for six of the fourteen knockouts.
There were 22 runners at the start of the day and Joel Patchell was the first to go when his 
couldn’t outrace Sam Stein’s 
. Grayson Ramage was the next out the door when his kings were cracked by Oliver’s eights and within the next twenty minutes we said goodbye to Bryan Colin, James St. Hilaire and Shayne Khanna in that order.
Oliver was responsible for the next two knockouts as well. Martin Mathis three-bet shoved on him with 
and lost to Oliver’s 
and then Walid Bou-Habib moved all in against Oliver holding 
with the board reading 
. Unfortunately for him Oliver held 
and the river did not pair the board.
Rafael Golka, Calvin Anderson, Gregory Baksic and Michael Pesek all bowed out shortly after and then we lost two of the most intriguing players who entered the day; PokerStars Team Pro Chris Moneymaker and Ana Marquez.
Moneymaker lost a big pot to Galen Hall that dropped him below 3 million chips and he saw his stack dwindle to around 1 million after that. He open-shoved his last 1.1 million with 
in late position and Hall called with 
from the big blind. Hall held when the board ran 
, eliminating off the 2003 WSOP Main Event Champion in 11th place.
Marquez was the last woman standing and looking to become the first woman to ever make the PCA Main Event final table. This did not come to fruition however; she open-shoved a wired pair of eights and was snapped of by Oliver’s pocket rockets. Oliver held and sent her to the rail.
At the unofficial final table Oliver continued to pad his stack, and it was he who would knockout the final table bubble boy; Dmitriy Stelmak. Stelmak flop top pair with on a board, but Oliver had him crushed with 
and held to chip all the way up to 19.67 million.
